This message has been edited by mikee on 07-13-2005 at 09:42 PM Mike cdrw's are a different format than traditional cd's and cd-r's. You can only play them in devices that support them. Now a days, new cd player, dvd players and so forth can play them because they are now designed to do so. Like others stated, just stick with the cd-r's and you will be OK.mikee I just burned a cd (memorex CD-RW rewritible) with some music. It plays fine on my home DVD but will NOT play in the Kat or my home CD . Any idea why?
Any help or ideas appreciated.
Mikeebutchcee http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-9599.php dreamcast18 I believe the KAT CD player might not do CDRW. I've known that for years, Sony players (even the PS2) does not read burnt CDs. CDRs are dirt cheap (0.10?), we usually just burn a couple for the road and then use them as coasters later on. dbudner Dreamcast is right. Burn to a cd-r and you should be fine. All I play in the kat cd is stuff I've burned. mikee It worked. You were all right. Burned to a CD-R and all is fine. Wonder why CD-RW won't work? Oh well as long as CD-R do.
Thanks
MikeeBama Kat The RW with not play on anything but a computer. It has to be an R towen66 When burning to a cdrw make sure you finalize the CD to play in audio players. The software has several options be sure to check the create audio CD and make sure CD gets finalized if not then audio players can't read the format that burning software uses. SERIB Buy an i-pod and carry 5000 songs with you at all times. DUSTI Like Serib, we TOO gave the CD changer the boot and got an ipod ........just got tired of changing CDs all the time and the fact that we needed the space behind the passenger seat to add the 10" subwooofer redman quote:
