Mike Ed This message has been edited by miagm on 07-15-2005 at 09:00 AM Try this site, it answered my questions. http://www-5.servicecontracts.chrysler.com/ I got the MaxCare750. Covers almost every nut and bolt. We have a 2001 Orange w/7K miles DEAR MR. OWEN, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE WARRANTY FOR YOUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN REJECTED BY DAIMLERCHRYSLER. VEHICLES THAT ARE OLDER THAN 48 MONTHS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EXTENDED WARRANTYS. SINCE YOUR VEHICLE IS A 1999 MODEL YEAR, IT DOES NOT QUALIFY. I HAVE REFUNDED YOUR CREDIT CARD AND MAILED YOU A COPY OF BOTH SLIPS. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY CONFUSION. THANK YOU-SUPPORT@CHRYSLERWARRANTYS.COM Jay What was your in-service date? This message has been edited by Howard on 07-21-2005 at 05:11 PM Contact Bob > mphy98@yahoo.com Miller Motors -GRROWL Wheels - $1,300 each - not covered (under any condition) -GRROWL Is that a fair and accurate statement? Is that a fair and accurate statement? That's it in a nutshell, yes. My 7 year/100K Chrysler warranty expired in March this year. I only used the warranty a few times over the years, but the piece of mind bought by that $1,200.00 was priceless! Davetowen66 Who ever posted about the extended warranty a few weeks back a big mahalo I just got confirmation that I'm covered and will have the AC condenser replace here shortly. Thanks again. plus I'm good for another 60,000 miles bumper to bumper. miagm
Can anybody recommend a company providing extended warranties? There are a lot to choose from and I'm sure some are reputable and some are not. Appreciate any help.
Thanks!Howard Go with the Chrysler extended warranty. BradleyG Follow this short and to the point link. It is the BEST way to go. Chrysler warranty with NO Hassles. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/013152.html viperprowler1 Absolutely the Chrysler Service Contract! As a retired Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer, I have them on all my cars and it has paid for itself most times. The peace of mind is worth it as well. It also protects you against the rising cost of parts and labor during the time you own the contract. Also, if you go to sell the car prior to the contract expiration, it gives you one more tool to extract a fair price from the new owner and gives him/her additional comfort in dealing with you. If any questions, feel free to email me. Good luck, miagm Thanks Jay, Howard, BradleyG & viperprowler1! I'm going with the Chrysler warranty. SILVRKAT How can you get a 2000 or 2001 covered, they are more than 3 years old? miagm SILVRKAT, dreamcast18 Bob is excellent! He's fast and friendly! Everyone should get it from him! Mr.Mcgoo What is the average cost for the warranty? I have 2001 which is out of warranty and not sure if it is worth spending that money right now to have the extended coverage? dreamcast18 I paid $940 thru Bob. $100 deductible. and no CA tax Mr.Mcgoo What coverage did you get? do you have contact info for Bob. Please respond.dreamcast18 Did u try to call Chrysler and find out? Who did u get it from? Talk to the person who sold u the warranty. Good luck! YELLER CAT Your Prowler may qualify as a "used car" which is a different Extended Warranty however, there are some restrictions. If you need anymore information, email me. Howard Your policy was probably rejected because all eligible vehicles covered by a minimum 3/36 Basic Warranty are eligible within 48 months of the in-service date and 48,000 miles. dreamcast18 Howard's right. Our Orange had an in-service date of Oct 31st 2001. Bob had to verify that before we could purchase the extension. towen66 Howard, I just purchased the vehicle. I wasn't sure if it was both 4 yrs and 48,000 miles. My service guy made it seem like it was only 48,000 miles. Is there something else I can purchase? Jerry Finuf Thanks for the Info -I to just purchased an Extended Chrysler warranty from Bob for 1135.00 -0 deductible, good for 50000 miles and until 8-27-09 bumper to bumper. Not to contradict anyone who has posted, I STRONGLY recommend reading ALL of the fineprint before buying a warrantee. I have the everything MaxCare from Chrysler. I believe it is worth it, but IT IS NOT BUMPER TO BUMPER (the bumpers are not covered, for instance). Nor are the wheels. Nor is the softtop, or ANY soft item, trim, handles, you get the idea. Not battery, brake rotors, etc.,etc. Yes, the big stuff is covered, but IT IS NOT BUMPER TO BUMPER like the factory 3/36.
My MaxCare has paid for itself several times over, and I do heartily recommend it, but READ THE FINE PRINT so you know exactly what you are getting.
Rear Rotors - $300 each - not covered (" " ")
Soft Top - $3,000 - not covered
Bumpers - $700 each - not covered

Belts and Hoses -
