RED5What a perfect day we had. 14 Prowlers!!!
Check out the events scrapbook pictures. http://www.prowleronline.com/scrapbook/neweventview.php?id=484

The cruise went well with the exception of my front passenger mudflap flying off my fender and taking the brackets with it. Thank you Bob for taking me back and helping me find it!!!!!

If anyone has pics they want to see in the scrapbook that were taken in Lake Geneva just email them to me. I know I saw a few cameras.

Lets make this a regular thing.

keesBeautiful pics.

One question. I had a similar experience with my passenger
side front flap after installing and driving it for about
2 miles. Anybody has any idea how to re-install the
bracket in the fender ???

Best regards,

Kees

RED5I'm not looking foward to it, but I guess some serious adhesive should do. I am just going to take the other one off for now.

I'm assuming that it hit on a driveway or while entering a parking lot some time ago and the stress from the drive finally caused it to come loose.
It was on with no problems for close to a year.
I am not buying a new fender just to get the bracket.

It's always nice to see pictures of kats going down the road. Sorry about your front flap. Must be some way to fix that without buying a new fender.

ChiefloadDid you have your front flap trimed back about one and a quarter inches. It may have caught on something. I have read a few few backs on our site here about trimming the front flaps before installation. Maybe some one that has the trimmed flaps can give us some input, as i just received both front and rear flaps to install on my orange 2001. A good motorcycle/chopper building shop should be able to make and weld on a new bracket for you. You outing looked like a big success, enjoy many more this coming season.
jmaAs a long time prowler admirer, and a new prowler owner, I have to say that the only thing that looks better than a prowler is a whole line of prowlers...
RED5The flaps are not trimmed. But I also know they didn't touch anything (recently). At least it was a clean break and the bracket is intact and should not be difficult to put back on.

I just added a great new photo, from Marks mirror you see all the Kats behind him.

Jma-congrats on getting your Kat.
I grew up in Freeport and also lived in West Islip for a few years before coming to the midwest. I know there are a bunch of Prowlers on Long Island so you should be able to get some nice group photos.

thedqmanVERY VERY NICE!!!!!
ChiefloadI just though of another cause of the flap coming off. Did you use lock-tite on the mounting screws. If you didn't I have seen the screws back out on other vehicle's front flaps so far that the tire hit the screws and caused the flaps to come off. Just another thought. Enjoy the photos each time i look at them. The country side sure does look great for a Prowler run.
RED5THANKS for the postive feedback fellas.

Chief- When we drove back to get the flap the bracket was still FIRMLY attached to the flap. Yes locktite is a must or they will loosen up. I took the other side flap off for now.

CJGreat pictures.........looks like everyone had a great time!
RADCAT RICHNice pics, always luv the mirror shots!
