Firegabe Also, the actual so cal prowler ended up like this: This message has been edited by Orange on 03-28-2005 at 06:50 PM I had Tom Gale autograph one for the owner of SoCal Speed Shop and sent it to him framed. Because SoCal did the grille the way they did, we were able to do the louvered side panels for CJ's Candy Red car plus two other sets. CJ had the pleasure of driving it all over southern California one weekend. SoCal sold the car to a fellow in western Michigan. Word is that he has since resold it. Any idea where it is today? This was posted a few years ago after a trip to CA: SoCal was kind enough to let me drive their Prowler for the weekend while we were in town last year for the International Auto Salon. Here are some pics: Funny how RPL's pics are now all over the internet. I kinda wished they did go with their "classic" color combo instead of the plain red.... but it's still a awesome prowler. How much did it sell for? ------------------ Which came first, the chicken or the egg? This message has been edited by Orange on 03-28-2005 at 11:29 PM CJ SoCal Prowler Ed W. I think the Eco-Tech 4 cyl they built for Bonneville would be an improvement over our '97 V-6.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaafiregabe NICE WOW!!!!! I WANT IT JimmyUK My next one will be like this one or same kind of look, have flaming on my first would like scallops on the second, for a real old school look. Orange Obvious photoshop (notice the clear side markers and how one mirror is red, the other is white). I do like the color combo though...
RPL The picture that CJ posted was the original proposal. The one Orange posted was photography that I had done for SoCal while the car was in Tech Plaza at the DaimlerChrysler Technical Center. CJ Orange..........while I was sorting through a box of "stuff" that I haven't filed yet, I was posting some older things that I thought the owners might like to see. As Bob stated, I have several renderings of the "proposed" SoCal Prowler with the paint scheme that was used for most of their vehicles. However, they chose to paint the car differently. Here are some of the other photos Bob had taken while it was on display at Chrysler Headquarters.
Orange RPL and CJ -- You guys rock!!!! CJ Orange.........don't know.........we didn't ask! Marty Usher Obviously my car had some influence on their design!

The So Cal Prowler is on the cover of Old Car Trader this month and is for sale. $38,000 662-356-6035.
GordonMarty Usher The current owner is "Killer" from Mississippi. The car was on the southern legs of Power Tour. SILVRKAT I really like the front end with the lights and side grille. Where can I get mine done? Bet it would cost more than the price I paid for the car (east coast custom bodywork price)!
Wish somebody would come up with a good rear end (please no pictures of nice rears with bikinis, never mind go ahead if you have a good one, just not Cookies!), seems like most of them look the same or worse than the stock with bumpers.Marty Usher Call Bob at Realrod. You tell him what you want and he will produce youyr custom work. I wante dto fil in the factory tail light and put the lights a new rear pan and he camne up with 39 Ford blue dot tail lights for my car and trailer. I had the headlight replacement panels fabrictaed locally before I knew Bob did custom work. SILVRKAT Now that rear looks good ! Front is great also, but this is the first time I have seen the rear. Marty Usher Bob used a Real Rod smoothie pan as a base and hand cut the holes to "french" in the tail lights. He likes doing custom work. It takes a little longer than ordering one of his stock parts, but then you end up with a one of kind piece.
