The accompanying article was writen by James R. Healey and was less than flattering to the Prowler. The car test driven was one of the two prototypes and not a finished production vehicle. The last paragraph of the article states....... "Chrysler deserves applause for daring to develop a car as outrageous as Prowler and doing it so efficiently it figures to make money selling fewer than 5,000 a year. But for the money you'd spend to buy a Prowler, you could have two Mazda Miatas, or a nicely equipped BMW 3-series convertible that seats four, or the Mercedes-Benz SLK two-seat convertible due out next year, or the top-end Ford Mustang Cobra convertible plus a motorcycle. Those are pretty serious rivals for your automotive fun budget." samCJ This was on the front page of the USA Today dated Wednesday, August 28, 1996: Ray That's what I get for not traveling ... no USA Today!! Darn .... CJ, feel like making a color copy or two? Marty Usher Wow - the DOW was only 5711 then! Who cares what this one guy thinks about our cars! samthejeepman lets see what those cars he mentioned are worth in 2006 in comparison to the one and only prowler !!!!!
