Marty UsherDriving home from Dallas on I 30 heading north between Texarkana and Little Rock we saw a silver Prowler on an open commercial car hauler heading South. Then ten minutes later we saw another Silver Prowler driving South on I 30.

I have driven probably 40,000 to 50,000 miles on road trips and have only seen 4 Prowlers total (other than those going to or from a POA event) and then we see 2 in less time than it takes to listen to three songs on the radio!

DUSTIMarty,
did you drive YOUR Prowler ?
We were going to Oklahoma a couple of weeks ago, THROUGH Arkansas and thank goodness we had the truck !
Those roads were the s#it - I can only imagine what a beating the Cat would have taken, also Oklahoma roads weren't much better either !
Marty UsherThat made our third trip to Texas this year driving the Prowler. It's 13 hours/850 miles one way form our house to our friends' place in Plano so it's doable in one day - albeit a loooong one. The construction in Arkansas is actually getting completed slowly. The only really bad area is about 50 miles long from just south of Little Rock. At least this trip it wasn't raining going through there.

We turned over 95,000 miles (28,000 on the trailer)on the way home, with extended business trips in Januray and February, it looks like we won't hit 100K until sometime in late February or March.

With that many miles we just don't worry about the car "takin' a beating"

ALLEY CATMarty - I think that one cat on the transporter was heading to the new Clinton Library,,,,,called the Lewinsky Edition.
Marty UsherLarry - I doubt that - they weren't Blue and did not had any spots on them! :
Kelley AustinHey Dustis,
Give us a break on our roads. They have only been working on them for the past 10 or 15 years. They should get them right in about another 10 or 15. When driving the cat on the interstate I try to stay in the inside lane, if there is one.

Marty - good thought, lol. It was just a guess on my part.

jmcant1Heading down those same roads on the 23rd... my wife HATES Arkansas roads. She took her Z4 from KY to TX the first week we had it. Windshield and nose both got 'pinged' in Arkansas. We're taking the Rav-4 this trip. We're lazy though, taking a breather in Memphis at the Peabody on the way down... we'll be looking for some Xmas Eve blues music on Beale Street! And ribs at the Rendevous!
Marty UsherMike - I wish we had the extra time to stop but spending moe times with our friends was worth the longer drive home in one day. Each time through Arkansas, more & more of the construction is complete.

Enjoy your trip.

RayWas just in Little Rock for a couple of days, didn't see a one! Figured they were all hibernating due to the cold?

hey dustis, you're lucky you don't have to drive these roads every day.when i drive into town(Tulsa),i take only certain roads.

DUSTIMike,
I really feel for you locals - I mean Alabama roads are NOT flawless either but THAT was a rough ride (even in the F150 !!) so I can only imagine the "shaking" driving there with the Cat !
Ron RobbI can't believe it, but I saw two Prowlers on TV today!! One in a Dairy Queen commercial, and the other in some cable show - don't know what it was, just surfed across it, some "high roller" trying to score dates or some such!
