How far off are you talking about????. This message has been edited by ka-te-el on 12-04-2004 at 08:45 AM -GRROWL (or you could adjust them) ------------------ka-te-el I am looking for a Prowler (2001) and find that most have "uneven" fenders. When looking at the car head-on one fender comes closer to the bumper than the other even after all adjustments are made. I am told this is common but still can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. Would like Prowler owners' input. Thanks! butchcee Remove the bumpers. Problem solved Seriously, I guess you've loosened the mounting bolts and tried to slide the fender forward or back? Some have done this to even up front fender splash guard ground clearance.. toys Despite what some people have posted There is really little to no adjustment for the front fenders try checking for bent mounting brackets especially if it has untrimmed mudflaps.
Toyska-te-el Off by a little more than an inch. Mounting brackets are not bent. Adjusted fender as far forward as it can go and still off by at least an inch. GRROWL If you search hard enough and long enough, you will find a post where someone described the process of drilling the bracket holes oversize to produce completely adjustable fenders. The amount of adjustment is reported to vary by car from about a 1/2" to 2" per fender. This might draw the conclusion that the reported "fix" is just making the tight-tolerance holes closer to the adjustable ones. meancat I hope this is the biggest problem I have with the car.. ed monahan Just tap the bracket with a sledge hammer! lol You won't have to worry about the little discrepancy any longer. Think of it as a hotrod and get used to the quirks. If you want a perfect car, you probably are not going to be happy with the Prowler. It is not a luxury car. There are several small problems with mine. I don't care about that. I accept the car for what it is. Hopefully you will figure out a way to get around the problem.
