I'll probably end up with either the Model 60 or 60P. I've done about all of the online research I can and have a few real-world questions. Larry, you game? 1. Bend Pak states that they come wired with 3-prong 120 volt cords and draw 11 Amps, but they require a 25 Amp circuit. Have you used these in a standard 3-prong (15 Amp) outlet? For a 36 second duty-cycle, I would think it would be fine. 2. Is it practical to park over these on a daily basis? It seems it would be like going over a 4" high speedbump everytime you pull in or out of your garage. Do the ramps make this easy? Any clearance issues with the prowler? 3. If I only need "portability" within 6" or a foot, can I just shift the standard model around? When not in use, I park the prowler deep in the garage. When I need the lift, I would shift it back about a foot. The "book" says that the standard model needs to be bolted down, but I really don't see what 2 bolts would do other than stop it from shifting around (which I actually want, except when it's in use and then the weight of the car should keep it in place). 4. Any other decision factors between standard and portable models if I'm only going to use it (only have room) in one parking position? Thanks. RonPROWLE-R I have a Superior brand 4 post lift I picked up at the Auto Show in Boston, works great, 7,000 Lbs capicity, I paid about $3200 included shipping. There have been good reviews on the rev lift from a couple of viper owners plus it is ALI certified. Bend pak was my other choice but didn't come in red to match the cat. Many of the lifts are made in Kansas and sold to various distributors and sold under different nameplates. The Backyard Buddy is made and distributed in Warren, OH. I drove to Warren and picked mine up. Saved on shipping! Which is fine if you live close to Warren. Anyway, good luck...there are many to choose from. Pat BlackAMX I have an Autolifter lift. You will need at least an 11 foot ceiling for this lift. It will raise my vehicles to a height of 6ft. Like I said before, get a Hemmings Motor News. There are a bunch of lift companies advertised in it. Send for all the free brochures on lifts and go for the one that that you feel will be right for you. I liked the Autolifter because I can get the car up high to work under it and I like the lifting arms rather than drive on ramps because I can pull the wheels off without anything being in the way. I can also park another vehicle under the raised vehicle.

I now have the LR60P in my garage.
It was easy to assemble and is very easy to use. I just used a drop light to plug into so I would say that amperage draw is of little concern.
The best feature is that I can move the hoist around and that I can drive any car over it while still using the space for parking. The car can enter from either end and drive completely over or past the hoist if needed. This rack is perfect for cleaning and brake or suspension service.
The drawback is that there are cross braces and a ram in you way if you plan on using a creeper under the center your car.
Lift time is quick and the rack is very soild when up.CJ We have the Cytech Double Park for my cats and we love it. No problems.....
