Finally we have collected all the funds and paid all the bills. As an update to all who attended here is the final accounting.( All amounts in CDN $) Funds received $23244.98 Thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets and auction prizes and helped us keep the shortfall to a minimal amount. Thanks also goes to the sponsors who donated funds to cover the shortfall namely Wayne Finch, Bob Talbot(Powerup), Darren Nickerson( D & J Auto)and Frank Peri. The event was lots of fun and we hope to have another one in the future. (Avoiding the 407) As an update at the event I stated that we would be sending copies of the newspaper article and pictures when we received them. Unfortunately the article was never printed and accordingly no newspapers will be sent out. Thanks again to everyone who attended, helped in the planning and made donations of prizes and cash. ------------------ WHAT ABOUT THE DVD OF THE MORNING SHOW. GARY AND I NEVER RECEIVED A COPY. ROMAN MENTIONED HE WOULD BURN COPIES AND SEND THEM OUT. AND, BY THE WAY, I TOLD YOU NOT TO POST THAT PICTURE OF ME BUNDLED UP IN THE CAR, THANKS.... TAMMY Rkstr PS, Frank, thanks for the license plate frame. Tammy I must of posted the wrong picture.LOL Actually the weather for the New Jersey event was perfect except for that lighthouse where you bundled yourself. Certain pictures provide wonderful memories. Rickster glad you got the frame OK. ------------------ Jim thank you very much. ------------------Blue Tie Prowlin Canada 2004 has affectionately been nicknamed the five minute event. For those that attended you know that everything took only five minutes.
Funds disbursed $24174.91
Shortfall $ 929.93 ed monahan Frank, thanks to you and all the others who made the event possible. There were some outstanding activities and we had a great time. I am sad to see that you all lost money on the deal. It was over the top. The biggest screw up was the double decker bus trip. That turned out to be a very memorable time. There were a lot of laughs on that bus trip. A couple lines that will live for years. Rickster. "practicing safe sightseeing" immediately comes to mind, as well as "Duck" and WildBill acting like he got beheaded under the bridge.
The side trips to R & M and to the Brampton(?) D-C plant were exceptional, to say the least. The trip to the track was memorable, also.
Wayne's country club is PLUSH, to say the least. Not as plush after I got done moving turf around, however.
We had a blast. Thanks again.PROWLERWIDOW FRANK Rickster Ditto on Ed's comments. We had an outstanding time. Blue Tie Ed in light of how much we were going to loose and how much we actually lost, thanks to everyone's support and your wonderful actioneering I am very happy with the results. Small loss for the amount of fun that we had. CJ Frank, in spite of the 407, the event was great and we had a good time. At least we were able to help recoup some of the shortage. ed monahan Speaking of the 407, I just got my second reminder. After they spend $ 40 in postage, I will answer them. lol CJ Ed.........tell them they can have their money in 5 minutes! Blue Tie In the mail today I received a cheque in the amount of
$ 460.00 from Jim Bowman to be used towards the shortfall. What a great group of people on the POA.
