Firegabe ------------------ ------------------firegabe I found this kind of interesting. just thought I'd toss it out. http://www.928motorsports.com/parts/louvers.html Tom Santella These just might look nice on the hood, somewhat like the viper ones. I would want them flush.
BackinBlackbutchcee Agree with Tom--but might warp the hood around the panel welding in if not careful. That must be the medium size shown and looks to be an 8 inch wide louver. Kraut Louvers from an old Nissan 280Z would also look good and are available from dealer stock. I used a set on a Blakely Bearcat kit car, which I built in the '80s. These are also functional and let a lot of hot air out of the engine compartment.
BeWare I don't think they would look good on a Prowler DR PROWLER I agree with Beware....it looks awesome on the Viper, but I can't see it on the prowler somehow! butchcee painted the car color--you never know! nice alternative Kraut. halicat i like the vented side panels but not to keen on the hood louvers... Kraut The thing I liked most about the 280Z louvers, is that they are flush mount, functional, and asymmetric. I painted them the same color as the fenders to avoid having a paint match problem. By the way, the louvers on the side of the hood were also open in the rear, and therefore functional. This car had a Boss 302 V8 and leaned toward running on the hot side. Like the Kat, this car had a small grille opening and not much room for a big radiator. Wish I would have kept it. Nasty Cat I like these
Gary C So did I and they actually cooled the motor
