alniriThere have been several posts regarding Chrysler possibly not honoring warranty claims in the US on Canadian market cars which were exported to the USA.
What about the opposite scenario i.e. US market cars exported to Canada. Are there any prowler owners in Canada with US market cars that have had warranty claims rejected in Canada because their vehicles were initially US market cars
halicati was wondering about the taxes payable when importing to canada ie: luxury tax ? or any other sneaky taxes..

Warranty issues relate to when you buy a car NEW FROM A DEALER in the US and immediately bring it back. This was done to avoid dealers from selling out of country (and pricing policy differences between the two countries). Your warranty will not likely be honored under this scenario.

However, if you buy the car USED (you are not first to title), the warranty will be fine (at least from my exerience importing 4 Chrysler products).


Taxes - no extra taxes on importing - GTS/PST only - no duties, luxury, etc. (??might be a/c and tire tax, but small$)
