1buddycThe following are some of the things I noted at my first Prowler Event. To preface, I've had my Kat for 2 years, only accumulated 1000 miles in that time and never had it in the rain.
It sure was great to put faces with POA usernames. Who would have thought that WARMNCOOL is in the heating and a/c business? Prowler Veterans are the first to introduce themselves and make a "rookie" feel at home. Every Mod you could think of was on display. Until you do it, you cant imagine 40+ Prowlers cruising down an interstate in a group. Also, 20 Prowlers in a line following each other in a blinding rainstorm at night. Sure was glad the Lead knew where we were going.. Thinking that the Chrysler "Prowler Pace Car" was the State Police as his headlights kept flashing on and off, from side to side in the same rainstorm.. 51 Kats parked in the Krehel's driveway, the AWESOME Museum and the friendliness of Mike, Judy and their children. Dan Pena is quite a story teller or as he would put it, "Let me tell you the Drama..." I laughed til I had to have another beer. Going to the Drag Strip, having not raced in 15 years and getting that Old Feeling back again....Guess it never goes away, just lies dormant. Lady Drag Racers are tough!! And dont think that with a 1.45 second headstart Laddie wont be able to run you down (if the race was 1250 ft instead of 1320 ft he would never have caught me!) Also, MAJOR KUDOS for the Fischers and the Henkels who really pulled it off...
Just a few final thoughts and I will leave some room for others to add their comments. 1066 miles in 5 days, 3 major rainstorms ( we call them Turd Floaters in this part of the country) many friends and friendships made and an ear-to-ear grin that wont come off!!!!
Thanks to all who made for a great week, Buddy
P.S. Curtis, missed you old buddy-you missed a good one! And guess who won the Nitrous Express doorprize......

dpenaHey Buddy,

I was great chatting with you and the banner will be ready hopefully in the next two weeks... I got alot of material to put together when I fly back to 65 degree weather with 10% humidity versus 100% humidity... It has been an unreal sana out here in Texas country...

TFischerHey Buddy!!! That nitrous was supposed to be mine!!!! LOL - Congrats on the big win!! It was great meeting you and all the newbies to the events. We had a great time despite the weather. My poor cat has never seen so much water - but she did just fine as did everyone else's - no casualties and it was great. The fatigue was catching up to me by Thursday so I'm looking forward to a nice weekend with nothing to do. You guys were all great and thanks again for making the event so much fun! T
GenoTexWell now that you realize it's "JUST" water... and got twice the mileage+ that you had before, maybe now you can get out a bit and enjoy what prowlin's all about!

Sorry we didn't get to meet ~ maybe next time, Buddy !

Laddie RousselBuddy.

It was a pleasure to meet you. Hope to see you down the road. We may be in San Antonio early December for the Christmas lights along the Riverwalk...

Buddy.

Also sent you PM & email. I need your assistance on a question...

Marty UsherBuddy - nice to meet you. Get that nitrous kit installed and let us know what you think about the extra power!
Dale BeamanBuddy,
Nice meeting you and talking. Put 2750+ miles on my car and loved every minute of it. Had a tail light burn out on the way home Friday and when I stopped to change it water poured out of the housing when I removed the blub! Then drove through 4 1/2 hours of rain in Kentucky on Saturday!

Dale

Marty UsherDale - glas you made it home. That was a long drive for one day!
idiveBuddy - It was great to meet you. It was fun racing you as well. I'm glad that since you had that old feeling again, that you got to get back in line to make another run. Maybe winning the nitrous the night before was a sign.

BeWareBuddy, great to meet you and glad you had a great experience.
ALLEY CATBuddy - I was great meeting you and all the other new owners attending the Texas event. We hope and encourage all the members to get involved in your local areas to organize, attend, and support the other POA owners. Friendships is what it is all about! Buddy, if you aren't going to install the NOS,,,sounds like our friend Curtis has the fever, lol.

HotNCold-warmNcool - Great meeting you and your bride at the event,,,,and man you had us worried about hauling a wounded cat away from the drag strip. Glad it ran smooth on the way back home,,,,but have the gold cat checked out. I can verify that you were just a spectator at the drags

AC

warmncoolThanks AC, it was a pleasure meeting you and Lethia. I was a bit worried about the tranny. I will feel better after the dealer checks it out. I look forward to seeing you next time.

jeanszooThis was my first Prowler get-together and I must say that it was a wonderful pleasure meeting everyone and a huge thank you to one and all for making me feel welcome and at ease. I had more fun then any of you will know. I look forward to coming to another one at some future date.
Thank you
Jean
idiveIts good to see you made it home safe and sound Jean. It was a pleasure meeting you at the stampede. Glad you could make the event.
jeanszooThank.
ALLEY CATJean - It was a pleasure to have lunch with you on monday. Ed, Sandy, Lethia, and I wish we could have spent more time with you,,,,but it seemed that you did get to meet many other owners at the event and that is our goal to share time with the "first time" event attendees.

Ed said he might take a vacation to Roswell, N.M. in 2005,,,,,maybe he can hook up with you and you can show him the sights in the area?

CJBuddy and Jean........it was great meeting both of you and good to hear that you both had such a good first event!! Hope to see you both again and another event soon!!
jeanszooHi,
Thank you so much, it was a true pleasure meeting you all. It is really difficult to spend lots of time with one person or couple of people at such a large event. I too would have liked to spend more time with more people. I had lots of fun despite the rain and getting lost, sort of on Wednesday, and yes, I even got lost on my own on Thursday. I am usually quite shy when I first meet people and nervous as well and due that that I talk too much and say the wrong things and I don't mean to. If I offended anyone, and I know for a fact that there are a few, I sincerely apologize. Jean
Laddie RousselJean.

It was our pleasure to meet you. And, we now have another embrodiery member to pass some ideas by... Karen & laddie...

jeanszooThank you Laddie, that is fine, but I will not be doing any embroidery until at least early next year. I am having the other had done July 13th. I can hardly wait until I am all healed, about 5 to 6 months.
