hubbard316Watch out on ebay. I was almost scammed once and I caught the second scam on there. Just be careful.
RADCAT RICHthey are a legitimate company, but the mgmnt is a bunch of village idiots. the 1st time it was relisted because of another buyer (village idiot) who thought he could buy a car and trailer for 4150.00

the 2nd time, i was the only bidder at 3500.00, and was pulled 5 hrs before ending, supposedly one of the guys that works there that has a prowler wantedit and changed his mind( THATS B-SH--).

i spoke with the owner, and its relisted, but the original owner still owns it and is being represented by this company, and the owner expects to get a price bid much higher than they are going to receive(EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS NO RESERVE), I WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE PULLED AGAIN WHEN THE HIGHEST BID RECEIVED DOESN'T MEET OWNERS EXPECTATIONS AT A VERY HIGH $PRICE
.....and the saga continues!!!

I AM BIDDING ON IT AGAIN.

YellowFeverDon't always blame the seller.

Lots of high ticket items get relisted alot on eBay (~60%)
as alot of folks get caught up in the bidding frenzy then never cough up the cash. Also, alot of kids think it's fun to bid ridiculous amounts on items, driving the price way up, and never have any intention of buying it. (witness the aircraft carrier that was for sale and the high bidder had only bought video games previously or the jet fighter that had to be relisted)

eBay, is only as good as the buyers and sellers that use it.

Richard JacksonHave purchased 30+ items and sold 30+ items and never a scam or problem. Common sense is the #1 ingredient when bidding and selling. Ebay has mostly honest buyers and sellers. IMHO

Richard

TLRandallThis guy has been scamming Rich from the start! He wants to list it as "No Reserve", but will pull it if he doesn't get what he wants!

It looks like you have a second bidder this time Rich!

RADCAT RICHTR, i saw that, its probably the owner to get it started?

I will be watching, thanks!

samthejeepmanjust some input on this subject
i have sold well over 2000 items on e-bay, either to bayers or private people.
i'm soo sick and tired of all the scams, non-payers--kids and that stupid feedback system, that for the last few weeks, i have been running a phoney "muffler bearing" ads on my auctions, so people can read and see how i feel about e-bay buyers.
i have recieved well over 200 mails from sellers who feel the same way, and looks like i have started a movement, because alot of other sellers are starting to run similiar ads to get their messages out to e-bayers.
if you want to see it the listing number is #2462457568

eracomm@bwb.netI wondered about this particular auction. One could write a book on disfunctional sellers although I think they are FAR outnumbered by the buyers. EBay is a remarkable forum, free enterprise in it's finest example. Unfortunatly it is flawed by human involvement/fortunate that it is BUILT on the honor system. As an eBay seller (with rare purchases) for almost 4 years & 3,000 transactions, I could write a book on this adventure. Being held hostage (by the threat of negative feedback) is not for the timid. Negative feedback CAN be removed, but at a rediculous cost. The "Bay is still the best that's out there and 99.9% of those involved are the creame of the human crop.
Kevin ASam the Jeep Man,
One way I prevent getting the negative feedback is to only post feedback AFTER the buyer posts feedback for me. I see your most recent negative was on 2-15 but you posted positive on 2-4 for the buyer.

It isn't a big leverage, but if you can still post negative feedback for them then they may be less likely to post negative on you. I agree, there are a lot of dirt bags on eBay. Luckily I have only had a couple in my several hundred transactions.

Oh, you may want to turn off the caps lock and break your listing into a couple of paragraphs. It is very hard to read. JMO

YellowFeverSam,

I think you are putting too much time and energy into something pretty trival.

Look, only 1% of 773 folks have left you a bad rating.
That is an incredible small insignificant percentage.

It happens, whether you were wrong or not. All the moaning to eBay won't change that 1% from doing stuff like this.

I'd be willing to bet at any car dealership, if only one 1% left in a huff, they would be pretty darn happy. Everytime I go to one, I always see someone bitchin at someone at any dealership.

Some folks just like to complain and want everything free. That is even easier in an environment like eBay.

From looking at all the feedback for you, I'd have no problem dealing with you on eBay. 99% of 773 say "AAA+++".

Life is too short, just move on.....
