KareselI had to have my Kat towed about 2 weeks ago. I have the service manual and the tow guy looked at it and was able to get the Kat on a flat bed without scratching it. However, we had to use towels to protect the nose since he didn't have a long enough nylon strap to hook it in the proper places and reach out to the cable. It worked but I think I will purchase a strap to keep with me. That will insure I never have to have the Kat towed again. The reason it was towed was it wouldn't start. The previous owner had the battery changed under warranty and the dealer used a battery with top and side terminals. The side terminals are not used and have a very cheap piece of plastic on them. If you look the way the battery sits the terminals are on the side of the battery closed to a frame member. You guessed it, the cheap plastic wore through and was arching to the frame. Luckily no permanent damage was done and it didn't burn the garage down.
KareselO yes getting it on wasn't a problem since the driveway is sloped but getting it off at the deal was a different store, he used some 4x4's to roll the Kat's front wheels onto to keep the nose high until it cleared the tow bed...
