FOR A FEE Gary, having been INVITED to the track with local CLUB to drive around the track was so disappointing. They must have had 500 or more cars go around the track at 30 mph ........ make sure it isn't just another way for POOR OLD TONY to make more $$$$$$$$$$ so he can pay to have the ground over his grand fathers grave relandscaped every time he rolls over in it. They made some promises and we sat out in the gravel in the rain after the lap around the track....... They did nothing for us at all.
Gary C	I understand. Maybe the people who would like to do it would come, no parking in the mud like last year. No harm no foul.
IN Phil	This is the press release on this year's IndyGP Car Corral. The idea of lapping the track is, as I understand it to be at 2005 IndyGP. This year is the corral and cruises as they had last year. DRIVERS OF EXOTIC AUTOS TO GATHER AGAIN AT INDY DURING USGP INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 – Drivers of some of the world’s most exotic and exciting street cars are encouraged to gather again at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a Car Corral on June 19-20 during the United States Grand Prix. This year’s Car Corral will feature a new date, as the USGP has moved to an earlier spot in the Formula One schedule, providing warmer weather for owners to display their prized cars to thousands of fans gathered at the track. The Car Corral will return to its location on the asphalt backstretch of the oval, a new site for the 2003 corral that was popular with car owners and fans. Fans once again can see the exotic cars in the Corral for free. Increased numbers of concessions, rest rooms and other amenities will be added. National and regional car club organizers are encouraged to contact Beth Blackburn-Boles at (317) 769-7421 to reserve blocks of grandstand tickets for the USGP for their club and participating Corral members. Once blocks are reserved, individual car club members can call (800) 822-INDY to purchase tickets in their club’s block after identifying themselves as car club members. Car owners must have a grandstand ticket for the days in which they want to participate in the Corral. Parking will be free on the backstretch for Corral participants, but a parking pass is required. A police escort again will be provided to the track for Corral participants on USGP race day, Sunday, June 20. The Car Corral was a big success during the United States Grand Prix in September 2003 at the Speedway. More than 400 members of national car clubs representing 13 different manufacturers gathered on the back straight of the famous 2.5-mile oval while Formula One cars competed on the 2.605-mile road course. Represented marques included Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Mercedes, Corvette, Viper and Mini Cooper. Many Corral participants also drove in the Grand Weekend car cruises on Friday and Saturday evening of the Grand Prix weekend last September. Steven R. Gary	Talked to better half, and believe we will be making the lap at Indy. Live in Mendon, MI so would take about 4 hours to get there, Not bad for a week-end get together.

When they order F-1 tickets (or if they already have) they need to mention they are with the "Prowler" club, and they will get a car parking pass for the weekend. The corral will be open Sat. and Sun. Saturday will be looser and Sunday will be organized into car clubs. THE CAR CRUISES are the organized for Friday and Saturday in the PM. It would be great if we could get a group of Prowlers and Vipers together, or if we had enough (25 max.) we could do Prowlers only and Vipers only...... Come on Gary, I know you can round up the troops to join us!!! Let me know your thoughts....also, we will be organizing police escorts on race morning and closer to the event we will take reservations as to who wants what time....
