jmcant1I was taking a friend for ride in the Prowler yesterday and we happened upon the beginnings of a Poker Run in Lexington. I whipped in to check out the cars (57 Chevy, Cobra, Vettes, Nova, some nice cars!). As I wheeled around the cars I spotted an orange Prowler parked behind the Nova! I had never seen an orange in town. The guys name was Palmer, Dave Palmer I think. I told him about the site. He was looking for rear splash guards. Said the Lexington dealer was saying they couldn't get them. I told him to check here. Hope he drops in!

Mike

Dale BeamanHey Mike were you at the Andover Country Club on Saturday?
jmcant1My wife was, she was in a golf tournament Sat & Sun. Are you a member out there?

Mike

p.s. My wife called me when they were brought in off the course for a short squall. She was worried to death because it HAILED on the golf course. No damage to the car, she said it was small hail. Thank goodness!

Dale BeamanMike, As the second poorest Prowler owner I just look through the fence:-) I live out Todds road just before the Interstate. I was outside waxing mine when the storm blew in!
jmcant1We're just the other side of Man-O-War, sort of behind Meijer. No wonder I've seen you on Man-O-War. We'll have to get together some time!

The place where I met the orange Prowler is S&S Tire on Southland Dr across from Incredipet (not real close to either of us). He said they gather there the 2nd Wednesday of every month ~7:00. I just happened upon their poker run on Sunday, must not be a regular thing... I dunno...

Do cars still gather up at Parkette on Friday nights? I met the Mulholland guy up there last summer.

Mike (3rd poorest Prowler owner?)

jmcant1When it rains it pours! On my way home today I spotted a black Prowler with a weekender turning from Rose onto Vine St (~5:00pm). Looked like the old style KY tags (cloud state outline).

RayI was up in Montreal last week on Wednesday and upon leaving my appointment near the airport, lo and behold ... a silver Prowler parked by an office building. Had I the time, I would have been interested in seeing if it belonged to anyone who posts here on the board.
Dale BeamanMike, There is a mechanic that has a shop at the corner of High & Rose and I've heard that he has a Prowler but have never seen it. Maybe it was his you saw. The head of ACS on Fortune Drive has a red 99 Prowler that you may have seen also, but he doesn't drive it much.
Cars still meet at the Parkette but it is always the same cars and lots of motorcycles. So crowded you can't hardly get in and there is no way I would drive my Prowler on that lot! We will get together sometime - I will be out of town this weekend. Are you going to the POA Smokies trip?
jmcant1I posted this in the "Where in the world is your cat" thread:

Locally I know of 6 others (that don't post here)

- The Orange I met this weekend
- Purple (vice mayor is a car collector)
- Black (local mechanic/radio personality)
- Silver (met the guy literally on the street, told him about POA)
- Gold (John Michael Montgomery, country music star lives just outside Lexington in Nicholasville)
- Mulholland (met the guy at Parkette last year)

The black one may be the one you mentioned (and I mentioned here). His name is Martino or Demartino... can't remember. Scanlon (vice mayor and owner of 85 Applebee's restuarants) has a Prowler and a ton of other cars from what I've heard. I've been waved to by a red Prowler on Tates Creek road, may be the guy you mentioned.

I'd love to do the Smokies trip, but my summer has been/is filled with family gatherings and visits so I doubt we'll try to attend this year. I usually go to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Pontiac, MI. I have family up there so we usually visit and hit the crusie on Saturday.
