TerryThanks for all the suggestions. I took Joe and Linda Ruggiero's suggestion of the "Save the Panther" tag. With the help of the Forum's brainstorming I recalled the musical "Cats" and thought that I might get some ideas from the play. I researched and found that the origin of "Cats" had come from T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats." Perusing all the stories I decided to try from (restricted to be seven letters or less):
1. Old Deuteronomy (shortened to OLD DEUT)
2. Macavity (shortened to MCAVITY)
3. Asparagus (shortened to JUST GUS)
4. Skimble (as SKIMBLE)

None were taken and I went with MCAVITY.

Macavity's Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw
For he's the master criminal who can defy the Law.
He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair:
For when they reach the scene of crime - Macavity's not there!

Thanks,
Terry

CTProwlerWell i guess if you read the book, you would know what it stands for. If i saw it i would just think its your name. Some people like having there name, some like it to be funny, or to express something. It can be whatever makes you happy. Glad you found something you like.

Dale BeamanI just purchased my vanity plate also. I want BLUBYU (I JUST BLEW BY YOU" but it was already taken. I wanted something that made an expression so I picked ITS FUN (IT'S FUN driving a Prowler). The answer to the question that we all get, "What's it like?"
YellowFeverI'm with CT.

Did you notice it also sounds like a nickname for a Dentist!

McCavity

RayOr a dentist that also owns or frequents a McDonald! I say, what ever floats your boat and the state will allow -- go for it.

Too funny!
I'm going to make a suggestion to my dentist to do a name change and buy a Prowler!
