I rarely see a Prowler other than my own. In fact since December I have seen only a (one) black one. I enjoy being a member of this "endangered species." I have yet to drive it without at least one complement, and sometimes several. Now how do you put a price on that? Terry Marty ------------------ I found 6 totaled Prowlers on http://www.wreckedexotics.com/prowler/ And I know of 3 other salvaged Prowlers here in FL. ------------------ See that just confirms what they say about Florida drivers! ------------------ This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 04-09-2003 at 02:10 PM And, if your like I was until last year and never attended a Prowler get-together, you need to do it.... It is an unreal feeling to see 75+ of these things with all the colors and mods going down the street. That is a real rush.... John ------------------ 2001 Orange, Mopar Exhaust, MTD Intake, Front and Rear Mud Flaps, Chrome Shimmers, Orange Prowler Logo Valve Caps, Ceramic Brake Pads, Prowleronline.com License Bracket, Eric Wolf Chrome Trans Cover, Mopar Hitch and Trailer. Fredd It also may be a factor of the geography and/or weather. Probably not as many cruising Buffalo in blizzard season as in July. Probably not as many (if any) in most towns of populations under 200 versus that of say a Chicago or L.A. I occassionally see 1-2 during the week (some weeks none) but, tend to see 5-10 on the weekend when the population swells with all the folks headed towards the beach. As for me, mine is now 10 months old and only has 400 miles on it so you can see it doesn't get out that often. ------------------ Chuck, Correction to "Only 7 to 8 months of nice weather". This years Prowler season in Connecticut will be 4 months! ------------------ This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 05-07-2006 at 10:11 PM 2002 CANDY ------------------Terry Apart from the awesome design of the Prowler it is truly a unique car (You don't see many). As per the "Facts & Stats" section it states that 11,697 Prowlers were built of which 11,578 were available for sale. Just how unique is the Prowler? Of the 11,697 built Prowlers how many are still road worthy? I suppose that I'm asking how many Prowlers have been totaled or otherwise destroyed. Marty Usher Since most Prowlers are NOT daily drivers and low mileage, I would speculate that a very high % are still road worthy. There have only been reports of a few cars that have been totaled. I would guess that more than 98% are still being driven.
2000 Black with hand painted blue faded to purple flamesed monahan Terry, I echo Marty's assessment and if you want to see a whole lot of them, join us in Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mtns. in August. That will be the largest gathering of Prowlers ever. Over 100. Hope to see you there. spoons

"Drive = Love"Todd Cameron you also have to realise that the cars you see daily they have made well over a million of, and often, millions. To round this off roughly, Prowler's in their production represent .00009% of a car on the road that they only made one million of. Now considering all other marques... and I'm going to give a rough estimate here. Your looking at roughly 30,000,000 cars produced during the Prowler's life time and sold in the US, at a minimum ( The actual figure is most likely FAR higher, I am only estimating). You get the idea? Lastly, most Prowler's are RARELY driven. Why? They are a 2nd or 3rd "fun" car and thus seldom taken out. This will give us the ability to buy low milage Prowler's for many years though, which is a nice thing. But most people will not have a clue what they are. And that last will keep prices down for sometime. Joe Ruggiero Terry, I have wondered the same question. In my very limited exposure to Prowler owners here in Florida, I have heard of one man that totaled 3 Prowlers (told to me by my parts man at my DC dealer) and another man in the Florida Keys that totaled 2 Prowlers (told to me by his Nephew - my roofer). Seems like if 5 Kats could vanish so easily, we probably have lost quite a few since 1997. JRL This is just a random guess, but in round numbers probably a hundred or so have gone to the Prowler resting place in the sky.

2000 Black with hand painted blue faded to purple flamesStray Cat What comes to mind after reading your message is that, for the most part, you don't see too many of them running around..... and when you do see one, the blood pressure goes up, the heart starts beating faster...... Fredd06 Just saw 10 Prowlers, Mostly Red on Sunday at Allaire State Park in NJ

CJ According to the last list I received from DC with regard to new, untitled cars.........there were 76 left on the list. 392HEMI Florida does not have many "drivers" mostly aimers.
