Look forward to seeing the pics of your new ride, congrats. Regards, thedqman Last week I had the good fortune to look at a 2000 Black Tie # 606376 for another member here. The car had some documentation from Chrysler and clearly looked to me as authentic.
I felt bad I had missed the opportunity but happy for its new owner Bruce.
My wife told me..... it was meant to be!I had been searching for a Black Tie for a little while and was surprised to find a car advertised as a 1 of 5 showcar!
after calling the owner, a really nice fellow by the way, come to find out, he just liked the way the car looked and didnt know anything more than the dealer had told him..which was it was 1 of 5 special cars. Now he had my interest! I asked him to go look and tell me the serial #
........ 606377.......... the next car to the one I had just looked at the week before.
I asked if he had any paperwork for the car? He wasnt sure but suggested I call the owner of the dealership from whom he had purchased it. I did that and met a very nice car guy who after digging out the file from their wharehouse produced documents from Chrysler showing the dates and places the car was used for display and exihbit purposes.
The car was used from as early as 08/01/00 for promotions and also reflects back on Pilot car 606376 as the dates in its documentation are very close. I cant believe I was able to find this car especially in light of just looking at Pilot 376 the week before. needless to say we purchased the car and my wife was right ....... it worked out!!!!

Karen says Hi, and hopes you thaw out soon! The car #377 is still in Ohio I wont have it untill next week. Ditto for Pilot #376 I think it was to be shipped yesterday to its new home in Wash. When we get it we will surely post pictures and anything different on it. Best Regards Mike thedqman Apollo 232,
From the little Iwas able to find out up to now, these cars were taken off the line of silver cars in July of 2000 fitted with a black hood and trunk, had the doors painted and were fitted with black mirrors. They have Plymouth front emblems Black 2000 bumpers with the Plymouth script and are pinstriped by Dr. Ru but have no #. The papers with #376 state it was used for show purposes and the paper work with #377 state it was used for display and exihibit purposes. After using thes cars for their intended purpose they where then made available for sale or auction. This is probably why the paperwork and title are refering to them as Chysler. Im guessing now untill I have all the actual papers in my hands that they probably showed these cars to the press or big wigs at Chysler, or maybe had them available for select dealers to drive or become familiar with. It is possible these cars went to crtain auto shows around the country. As the story develops on both cars Im sure we will learn more .apollo232 Thanks thedqman... I've always wondered about that.
