| MarineGuns | Looks like CJ and JP bet me to it. I would recommend either GEICO or USAA. I personally use GEICO but have a few friends that use USAA. Both are good insurance companies. You'll have to check with both to see which one is best for your son. Good luck on the search. Howard ------------------

| DRFoster | My son is in the Marines too! Ooh Rah! He's stationed in Washington DC. He has a car there and has it registered AND insured as though he still lived at home here in Utah. According to our insurance agent, that's generally how they handle vehicles owned by military personal. DC was MUCH more expensive for insurance and his savings doing this are significant. |
| purplecat | We have USAA for our house, cars, and previously for renters insurance. They may be a bit more expensive than GEICO, however I must say that their service has always been more than I had expected. Good Luck with the search, car insurance out here can be unbelievable. |

Tell your son to be careful about that. They might try to get out of a settlement or claim if they can prove that he knew he was supposed to change his residence with them. I know you said your agent told you it was ok, but it's actually not, not even for military.------------------
