Steve TI finally decided on a floor for my shop.

I used rubber horse stall mats from the local Tractor Supply. These come in 4x6 and are 3/4 in thick. Each mat weighs approx. 100lbs. Took 70 plus mats and 2 days to install them. About half the cost per square foot as the Race Deck installed in the garage. They are not to soft, the lift still rolls easily. Had to let it air out for a few days but most of the rubber smell is gone. Plus these half to better for the tires than sitting on the concrete floor.

Link to the manufacture of the brand of mats I used: http://www.rbrubber.com/

Looks good Steve.

A couple of years ago, our company used the same type of mats as flooring in a tent for a banquet/concert. We painted a design on the mats. If you wanted a black & white checked look you could always paint white 2' (or whatever size) squares on it.

Steve TPaint the floor...hmmmm I hadn't thought of that. Maybe white stripes down the middle of each door opening.
Todd Cameronawsum Steve, really looks good!

jeanszooHi Steve, I couldn't stop looking at the line up either. I wish at I had a garage that big to fit my 9 cars in. As it is I have 3 garages, small, medium, and large, and only room for 5. Of course, the '01 Prowler, un-named, as of now, and the '02 Corvette, sit in the medium, the '54 & '55 Cadillacs sit in the large one, and for the the '99 Mercedes, which goes in the little one, sit out, till hubby can clean it out, the garage, that is. The '01 Jag, the '02 Jeep, the '81 Excalibur, which is for sale, and the '83 Zimmer all stay out all the time, along with his work car, and a friend's truck! I guess that I will shut up, I've talked waaaaaaaaaay to long.
CTProwlerNice looking Floor-Cars--Garage!!! I'm glad im not insuring and paying Property taxes on all those Cars. And i forgot the extra property taxes on the Garage. I'd need another part time job!!!LOL NICE JOB!!

I think an earlier post that Steve said there is a bed in the back of the Yellow pick up!

Steve - if you decide to paint, be sure and ask paint store about preperation of flooring. I can't remember what we had to do, but there was a preliminary step to just putting paint on the surface.

Marty

Steve TI used a utility knife and a 6 foot piece of angle iron as a guide to trim the mats. Drilled a couple of holes in the angle iron and just screed it to the mat to hold it in place while I made multiple passes with the blade. Cuts came out straight and clean, hand was sore for a week!

Hard to tell from the first picture but I have enough room to store each trailer between the cars. May still go with Larry's trailer stands if he is still making them. The tongues may stick out to far once they are installed.

Here's a peak in the truck bed...

Wayne FinchLooks great Steve....just great!!
Randy CobbSteve - Beautiful bed in the truck.

When I was a kid we placed the wood bed in my Dad's red '64 Chevy long wheel base. Boy, would I love to have that truck now. Your yellow looks awesome!
