Mike KrehelPlease check out the Events section.

We've renamed the existing Event Forum to "Up Coming Events" and created a new forum called "Events Discussion".

The idea here is that the "Upcoming Events" forum will be used ONLY by the person originally posting the event and they can go in and update or bump to the top if necessary. If someone wants to respond to it, they should do so in the new "Events Discussion" forum.

It would be a good idea for the originator of the event post to start a second thread in the new "Events Discussion" forum for people to respond to and create a link to it in their event in the "Upcoming Events" forum. We will work on automating this in the future.

Hopefully, this will be a start in eliminating most of the clutter we've had in the past and make it easier to find information on each event.

REMEMBER, The Upcoming Events forum should only be used by the event organizer!! Anyone may post responses or feel free to start a new thread in the Events Discussion forum.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Mike is there any way that you can remove the "post reply" from the "Upcoming Events" section. This way there will be no response to the post and make it very clear that it is for the original poster only.

Great idea Jim. I'll see if it can be done.

ALLEY CATSuper move Mike! It was amazing how fast a posted event could move 'down' the list and not be seen by many. I like all the other ideas posted as well,,,,especially Wayne Finch's idea to list the location first. State abbreviations or sub-abbreviations would work fine. Example: Az.
So-Cal
Nor-Cal
S/Florida
Tx
Dallas, Tx
Tri-state
Quad-state
You get the idea,,,,,,
SuperKatGreat Move, this will make it sooo much easier to get the event info without having to deal with the dial up wait once the thread gets too long. Thanks for all you do.

Gary CMike just finished the Upcoming Events forum PP/Suspenders...
