I am a new member here to the board and would like to introduce myself. I am a fellow Prowler and general Mopar enthusiast. I currently have a fully restored 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda 440 Six Pack and a 2000 Corvette coupe. The reason for my posting is, I am going to be selling my Vette soon and was interested in purchasing a Prowler to go along with my ‘Cuda – an all Chrysler Corp. garage. I would like to find a low mileage orange Prowler in excellent shape. Also, I would prefer to have a Plymouth instead of the Chrysler for collectible reasons, but it really wouldn’t matter if the right car were available. My questions is, what should I expect to pay for a Prowler like this in today’s market? I don’t mind paying a fair price for an excellent car, but I don’t want to overpay as I want to keep and enjoy driving the car as a collectible, but may someday decide to sell. Also, what would be considered a “Good Deal” on a car like this? I figure you guys/girls know better than anyone as most of you are current Prowler owners. Anyway, I wanted to say hello to all the members. I really like your site here and I will hope to see you soon in my own Prowler. 2 Orange Prowlers listed in Hemmings and 408-279-0944 in CA from what I've seen somewhere in the low to mid 30's do a search for cars in classified section and see what has been posted in the last few months ------------------ I had a local dealer drop one from $55K to $36K overnight. I have seen similar drops in price. Apparently you can get one for mid 30's if you look carefully enough. Color choice may be tricky, though. Welcome to the site. ------------------ ------------------ Driving a car is just transportation, Welcome ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ Marty ------------------ I'm so impressed with the positive response that I've received, especially being absolutely new to the board here. Thank you all very much for all your good suggestions. I am going to take my time and find just the right car before I buy. Right now I am gathering information and finding out what is available and at what price. I currently have my Corvette for sale, a 2000 millenium yellow coupe. As soon as I get that sold, I will be actively looking for a Prowler. So, if there is anyone here that is interested in a very low mileage Vette in excellent condition or if you know someone, please let me know. Thank you all again. ------------------ You got the color right You may try CarMAx (if they are in your area) as they usually give well above wholesale for a good clean car. Want a used one - I'd go with www.autotrader.com Good Luck,,,,and WELCOME TO THE POA!!! I purchased a new one back in July after shopping the market for a few months.
Being color specific may limit the availability of "great deals", but "good deals" are to be had. Prices appear to be low, so you are shopping at a good time.
Wildcats range appears to me to be about right.
Keep checking the classifieds on this site, ebay and autotraders.
Good luck and again - WELCOME! YellowFever Just make sure you get the RIGHT color!!!!
