------------------ Would like to stay in the mid 30s. Is auto trader the best place to look, yesterday there were 176 for sale. The best place to look is new car dealers. There are still several new cars with full warantee out there. If color is unimportant, you should be able to pick up mid to upper 30's new cat. What color and year do you want or is Price what you are looking at? This message has been edited by BeWare on 11-17-2002 at 10:57 AM Can't belive no bids at that price. ------------------ I believe this is one of BobKat's cars, he should also have a trailer for it. Might be worth contacting him and find out what bottom dollar and when it was put into service for warranty. Answer to your question on the warranty, I have had little problems with mine but they are very expensive to repair. One new with warranty or one that an extended warranty would be a good choice. ------------------ ------------------J Allen want to buy a kat, Price seem to be all over the place.
what is a reasonable price? / best year?Todd Cameron depends on your location and how much you want to spend. The prices are all over the place. it's the same with any rareish commodity. The 1st question is, how much do you want to spend?

would be my first choices. of course may settle for something else like black or inca gold.BeWare This Black Tie looks like a great buy on Ebay, car has been listed a couple times so $35K might buy it. With only 9 miles it is brand new.

I'm from Indiana origionaly, going to be up thier for
Thanksgiving and may check it out.Todd Cameron Like I said, the economy is in the tank and going down... that's why there are no bids on it. Also, Black Tie's and Woodwards are less popular then the other color's, despite their rarity.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1872766326 Todd Cameron yep, the warrenty should be a consideration. I have had 4, still have 3, one got lemon lawed... and all have had and still have or get, problems, that would be VERY expensive to fix. These are not cheap cars to fix at all.
2000 Black, 2001 Black Tie, 2001 Orangewhealy So what's the deal with the warentee/extended warentee? Doesn't it transfer with ownership? Or are we just talking about folks selling their cats as the warentee ends? Marty Usher Bill - if you buy a 2001 that has a in service date or January 2001 for instance, the 3 years will be up in Januray 2004, so even if you buy a low mileage KAT you will only be covered for 14 months from now. Supervette What are some of these more expensive repair items you speak of? I am still looking around deciding on wether to buy a prowler or build a low boy. I like the idea of the prowler being finished, but I would like to have a car with the power of my super charged corvette and be able to handle the road. Todd Cameron On any limited production vehicle that has state of the art construction, ANYTHING that goes wrong is going to cost 2-10 times what a normal car does to fix it.
