BeWareI am seriously considering selling our 16 foot open car hauler trailer. So I am seeing if there would be any interest.

This trailer is set up specifically for a Prowler. It's all steel 16 foot , tandem axle with brakes on 1 axle, chrome wheels. The trailer was reconditioned in 2012 for the Las Vegas event trip. It was stripped down and repainted with bed liner material, rewired with new LED lights added and new tires. It has been garage stored since. The trailer carries two spares tires. It will come with a fully adjustable, top of the line aluminum receiver hitch. It also comes will all the proper tie down ratchet straps needed to tie down the Prowler to the trailer at the factory recommend points. Locks for the spare tires, ramps etc. You will need to get your own trailer brake controller installed in your tow vehicle. It can be pulled without a trailer break controller while unloaded but I would not recommend doing so with it loaded.

During the 2012 trip we burnt out a wheel bearing on one wheel, so the bearings, hub and brakes are brand new.

This trailer tows so nice you don't even know its behind you. In fact it pulls almost too nice. I have had flat tires and not even known it until someone flagged us down to tell us. In fact I did not know the wheel bearing had burnt out until we stopped for the night and heard a strange noise. Upon inspection the wheel was flopping around on the axle. I have pulled this trailer loaded up to 80 MPH.

It's been pulled with both a 2004 Dodge Durango and 2008 Cadillac Escalade.

I can provide pictures if needed but it will be awhile before I can pull it out of the garage to take pictures or even take pictures in the garage as right now it's covered with stuff and due to me recent surgery I can't lift anything over 5 lbs right now.

I am thinking around $3500 for everything.

Any interest?

DIXIE CatPosting this with approval from Rich since he is unable to maneuver just yet to photograph the trailer today with more updated pics.

Also link to the ad where Jay aka/ YELLER CAT had it listed prior to Rich purchasing that includes a few more details on the hauler.

We thoroughly enjoyed it.

DublinOHI've seen this trailer and it is a nice one. Rich is a stand up guy, so no need to worry about any games. If you're in the market for a trailer, this may be the one for you. Just an FYI though, I know in PA - you must have brakes on each axle. Not sure about other states, so check your local laws to insure you don't run into problems with inspection or registration.

Steve

You can always add brakes to the axle by just changing out the backing plates. I just bought a set and they are not that expensive. About $ 120.00 per wheel which includes the backing plate, shoes, and hardware. The drum must be purchased separate which runs about 40.00 each
