Brian All other cars caught in the La. floods, and still in the area after Dec. 15th, were ordered crushed by the Fed. gov. due to spread of some bacteria that can kill you if you receive a cut from the metal, get the bacteria into your blood,, and don't get medical attention soon. Try and get a VIN# from the guy who has it now This message has been edited by 1buddyc on 06-28-2006 at 09:44 PM Mayor Ray "Chocolate" Nagin and his liberal buddies,,,,probably snuck a few out for cash, lol. Look the other way for campaign contributions! So be careful of good deals that have Louisiana in history... sorry Brian, couldn't resist This message has been edited by tangled up in BLUE on 06-29-2006 at 07:13 PM junior420 today i drove to Elizabeth NJ to do a favor for a friend of mine. I saw a black prowler on top of a trailer. the kat did not look too bad from the outside or atleast from far. so i got out of the car to take a closer look as i got closer i saw the Louisiana plates the headlights filled with water and the brakes were very rusty. i already knew what i was going to see. the car had been in a flood..the inside was covered with greenish things all over and white dust and rust and evrything. ive seen pics of crashed kats but did not think it would be so horrible.
the owner of the business did not want ot give me info. all he said that it was in a flood.
what do with these cars? cant you by them or what happens? this is bad and it sucked to see thatMike Williams This car could very easily end up going thru an auction and will find its way on a used car lot or on EBAY. TooHipCat Thank God it wasn't in an accident and most important...nothing happened to the driver. ALLEY CAT this cat made in out of Louisiana before Dec. 15, 2005. 1buddyc AC- Who knows if it made it out before Dec. 15? It could have been sitting in a closed garage or storage facility for some time...Thats probably why the transporter didnt want to give junior420 any info....probably snuck it out of Louisiana. Just because the Gov't said everything was to be crushed, doesnt necessarily mean it happened. ALLEY CAT Buddy - maybe so,,,,I'm only telling you what I heard,,,,no flood cars/trucks were allowed to leave the city limits of N.O.,,,,after that fed. order came down. ed monahan It may have been in Miss. and not LA. ALLEY CAT Ed - Junior 420 said: "I saw the Louisiana plates",,,,but you could be right, the car might have made it out of the area sooner. I'm sure the insurance companies wanted to settle fast and cheap,,,,,,, and the salvage business people were salivating to get ahold of the top end models laying around in that mess. Jim R. Lori and I just got back from a drive to Orlando from Houston. On our way out to Florida I saw cars and boats heading east on I-10 they were all green and had mud on windshields. The boats were large and small and banged up real bad. On out way back a week later we saw the same sites. Cars and boats heading to the west on I-10... We drove through Biloxi and all is still pretty much shut down. Not even the walmart was open.. ed monahan A/C, I should have reread the first post. There will always be crooks and con-men trying to make an easy buck. brianwlong
