Rpowell593 | Thanks - looks awesome. What about the battery, did you go with a chrome filler panel or what did you do there? your color scheme looks GREAT on there. Who did your paintwork? |
BeWare | I will have to take and post a picture of the battery area but I do not have a cover over it. The plenum was shaved and painted the base silver and clear by POA member Eddie Powell's son Jason. The silver has a hint of Prowler purple mixed in to it. The air brush work is by a local airbrush artist by the name of Kim Correll. His business is called Happenin' Cats Airbrush. He also did our door panel and deck lid murals. The radiator cover was painted by Rod Sanders of Sanders Refinishing also here in GA. Rod is no longer in business. Our Kat has nearly 33,000 miles on it, and the engine compartment is still as pristine and clean as when those pictures were taken in August 2004. And yes our Prowler has been driven in the rain many times. |
ed monahan | Rich, that looks good and the color scheme is all co-ordinated. Classy looking. |
BeWare | This will give you kind of an idea what the battery area looks like. I have a cover over the frame to hide it from view through the grille and when the hood is open.

ALLEY CAT | Rich/Linda - looks awesome! One question,,,,why is Jerry Scholten's name on your radiator cover? |

While at Cruising the Coast Jay Harris produced as silver paint pen and was having Jerry sign cars. Jay's Cat has been signed by Tom Gale. I figured Jerry was involved in the Prowler research & development, so why not. Makes for an interesting conversation starter. |

95PGTTech | I signed up just to ask these two questions: The upper intake manifold is not made of the same composite plastic that the other 3.5HO's are made with, correct? Making it easier for you to clean and paint it? What on Earth did you polish the vacuum valve with, that's amazing? All around beutiful car! |

Making it easier for you to clean and paint it? Yes it is an composite plastic. Jason Powell (who ground it down for me) used an electric buffer with a grinding paper disc mounted on it. He had it ground down in just a matter of minutes. I am not sure what grit he used, however I can ask him. I am sure he hand sanded it after. What on Earth did you polish the vacuum valve with, that's amazing? I sanded it with very fine wet/dry paper, I used an exacto knife to fleck the paint out of the hard to reach places. I polished it with Semi Chrome paste. It comes in a tube . I get it at the local Harley Davidson dealer. All around beautiful car! Thank You Very Much

95PGTTech | thanks a million. |
YELLER CAT | More on the exclusive autographs... When Tom Gale attended the 2003 Barrett-Jackson Event in West Palm Beach, there were 8 Florida Kat Pack Members displaying their Cats who thought it would be a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to have their Prowlers autographed by the Head Prowler Designer, Tom Gale. Shown here autographing the Nancy and Jay's Yeller Cat...
Later that year during the Cruisin' the Coast 2003 Event, the tradition continued with Jerry autographing every Prowler in the parking garage. Shown here autographing Linda and Rich Ware's Purple People Meeter before the extensive engine modifications.
Jerry autographing the Nancy and Jay's Yeller Cat ... The engine compartment may change with upgrades and enhancements, but NEVER the radiator support bracket. These are truly one of a kind with memories galore attached. Priceless, Jay |
