One of the BEST additions I've done. -GRROWL This message has been edited by GRROWL on 02-25-2004 at 07:01 PM Another set of FINE lookin' painted rear flaps... Nice, Mike.hopeful prowler sorry if i am asking a question already asked. i noticed that one of the first things everyone says to do is to install mud flaps i ordered a set of fronts today should i go ahead and get the rears also or are they needed? GUB I have a set on the rear also. It is not important like on the front, but nice anyway. Don't forget the ceramic brake pads, you will want them, for sure. Have FUN! sandy g. CJ I think most of us have both on our cats. GRROWL quote:

They're 12" x 12" truck flaps bolted to the Mopars. I used vinyl (rather than rubber) for the smooth surface so the decals would stick.quote:

The trick to making this look right is to keep the bottoms of the flaps (mine were 12" x 12" truck flaps from local chain auto-supply, about $10.00) parallel to the ground. After installing the regular (small) Chrysler flaps, you need to rest the truck flaps on something. I had an 8" concrete block handy, which was just about right, but you could also stack several 2x4's. Rest the flaps on the support, overlap about 1/2" and use a couple of spring clamps to hold them in place, then step back to make sure everything looks right. I drilled (4) 1/4" holes on each side and used stainless-steel round-head bolts (I think they were 1/4" x 3/8" long) with self-locking acorn nuts.GenoTex quote:
