2kprwlrCan someone please direct me to the post that I read a few months back about the front-end brace (install above battery). I want to put one on my cat. As I recall, they weren't hard to make yourself, but are there some low cost ones out there as well? Thanks in advance.
Al's ProwlerHere's one I had awhile back http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005756.html , you can go to search and type in cross brace and you'll find several more.
Tony GoertzG-Force lists the specs so you can make your own.

Marty UsherYou have secveral choices if you decide to buyone insead of making one yourself. Bill Gallagher at MagicTouch Designs offers a top brace or a set including a top and bottom brace. They made a noticle difference in the ride quality particularly on rough roads. I understand he is updating the design on his now. Also, Bob Goetz at Real Rod is coming out with a brace that is unique from the others in that they are all solid and his design has (I don't know the real name) bearings around the hoels where the bolts go through so the brace provides support to the other side but is free to move up and down unrestricted. I am sure he can give you a better description.

In anycase, most people seem to think the braces help.

I will be adding solid aluminum suspension frame braces to my product line in addition to the lightweight braces I presently sell. I expect to make an announcement about availability and pricing within the next couple days.

catterumpusBill's front top brace really makes a difference. Some Kats, especially 99s, act like they want to change lanes around high speed corners, and the brace makes it stay where you want it to.

sam771I did made and installed top and bottom braces myself. I cannot tell any difference on my 2002 Yellow KAT.

Top brace I did used 5/8"x1-1/2", bottom brace used 1/2"x1" both are solid aluminum 6061 flat bar.

KatAddictI have sold more than 60 top braces to date. Only one person that has commented said they did not notice a difference. All others notice it. I have driven my car with the brace on and off several time. There is a difference if you travel on bumpy roads, especially in turns with bumps where the car usually skips across the pavement.
sam771Before I install both of the braces, I have my KAT test run at very high speed, when hit any bump my front end, steering wheel are shaking look like I am loosing control, I have to slow down, I have all my wheel balanced and four wheel alignment before I took for a test run too. For normal driving at 75 or 80 mph on interstate I never have any problems, that why I desired to put the braces on.

I will taking my KAT out on Sunday to go to The Grand Teton and Yellowstone Nat. Park on the way I will have a test run and see it make any difference with the braces on.
