DublinOHThat would be Tony, but I'm not sure he'll do a conversion for someone. At least not for me - I've been trying! He's your best source for knowledge though.

Talk to Toney & Tony…….. LOL.

Stray CatNot a Mopar Motor, but there was an LS Motor in a red Prowler that was incredibly professionally done at Gatlinburg. I apologize, I cannot remember whose car it was, BUT I will tell you it was 100% professionally done, looked and sounded phenomenal and the under-hood look was amazing. Whoever did that conversion was amazing from the short period I got to see it and look it over. So if you cannot find someone to put a Hemi in your car, someone here knows who can put in an LS. Not sure of the HP of that car, but I promise, it was beautiful and unique. Good Luck!

Actually it was a Woodward that Rich and Sylvia McKenzie own, screen name Largent. Perhaps they will chime in or you can PM them. And you're correct John, it was first class.

Stray CatYes! Thank you dru. I am not overstating the beautiful job that was done on that car. In speaking with them, everything was addressed from Transmission on. It was incredible.

John

BeWareHere is a picture of the LS

Tony GoertzThey did a VERY NICE job on Rich and Sylvia McKenzie LS V8 Conversion. Rich showed me the car in Gatlinburg. I believe it might have been its first time out !!

I had talked with the shop that did the conversion several times and shared some ideas. They took on the challenge
and do GOOD work !!

There have been several V8 conversions over the years. Only a very few are actually to any extent , driven.

Now , for a quick view of the other end of the scale ...

I made a page of pics collected from other installs .

Hemi Prowler - Things NOT to do ..

And then - there are still all the items you do not see !!

LargentHey Folks -
Imagine my surprise seeing this thread.
Thanks for the very kind words. Means a lot coming from this group.
And thanks Tony! He answered so many questions for us.
The Gatlinburg trip was indeed the first, more than an hour drive, outing with the post-swap car.
It stayed cool and ran well. And it's still running just fine.
No fluff here - this project tested our patience. It took much longer and cost more that planned. And I'm still so glad I did it.
Daniel, at Flatwood Customs, is the real deal.

What not to do listed by the guy that knows “What To Do”

Looks factory, runs great, stays cool with AC on a 90 deg day
