catfish the ones that are closing,what do they do with all there parts,send them back to chrysler.anybody know.

ALLEY CAT I would imagine that if the parts inventory was paid for by the dealership,,,,,,,Chrysler will tell them they own them with no buy-back. After all, this is a bankruptcy situation.
Large volume dealers with huge new car inventories on Chrysler floor plans,,,,hhhmmmm,,,,,Chrysler will probably pick up those units and re-direct to other markets. Remember, Chrysler isn't building cars at this moment, and some dealers are probably looking for certain models to hold them over until the plants start producing again,,,,if ever.
I'm just guessing here,,,not positive...
GOATFALLS they are also not buying back the cars, after the close date they will have to send them to auction at quite a loss.

PLUS,,,,,,,,,,,,GM to send out 1200 letters soon to their dealerships selected to close.
DON WIEBER the news had a dealer on from mn that said he was stuck with his new cars because chrysler had no money to buy them back. he ask anyone that was looking for a new one to come in for a great deal.

Speaking only for myself,,,,I probably will never buy another GM or Chrysler vehicle. Lack of confidence concerning warranty issues, and quality production, pushes me towards FORD products.

Let's change the above question:
would you buy a car from a company that didn't give a crap about the 9-11-01 terrorist bombings and the American people? Or from those companies who did donate minimal amounts?

1. Ford - $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions
of the same number plus 10 Excursions to NY Fire Dept. The company also
offered ER response team services and office space to displaced government employees. Plus, $1M to Salvation Army
2. GM - $10 million to American Red Cross matching employee contributions
of the same number and a fleet of Vans, SUV's, and Trucks.
50 new vehicles to NY Fire Department
3. Daimler Chrysler - $10 million to support of the children and victims
of the Sept. 11 attacks.
4. Harley Davidson motorcycles - *$1 million and 30 new
motorcycles to the New York Police Dept. ( * could not confirm)
5. Volkswagen - Employees and management created a Sept 11 Foundation,
funded initial with $2 million, for the assistance of the children and victims of the WTC. Donated 25 vehicles to NY Fire Department.
6. Hyundai - $300,000 to the American Red Cross.
7. Audi - see VW,,,,plus an extra $100K from Audi
8. BMW - $1M in cash and ten new vehicles to the Red Cross
9. Daewoo (GM controlled) - Nothing.
10. Fiat (the new Chrysler) - Nothing.
11. Honda - $1.5M to United Way/Red Cross combined
12. Isuzu - $16,800 combined corporate and employees contributions.
13. Mitsubishi - $200K to Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
14. Nissan - $1M to Red Cross/Twin Tower Relief
15. Porsche - 20% of the proceeds from a company charity drive. (I guess giving 100% of the proceeds was asking too much?)
16. Subaru - $1M
17. Suzuki - $31K from employees and $31K from corporate, plus donated a few vehicles at ground zero for rescue
18. Toyota - $1M plus some employee contributions
You might want to give more consideration to a car manufactured by an American-owned and / or American based company.
