happydriverI am happydrivers wife and wanted to let you know why he hasn't been on this site, his memory is so bad and he is having a really hard time not being able to do much. He is no longer driving and can not even turn the comp on. I know that it is going to get worse but we are hanging in there. Thank GOD for a great family. I would be lost without them. Keep him in your prayers. I have been taking him for rides in the prowler but I know that he thinks it isn't the same as driving. Thank all of you for your support.

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers, you don't know how much they mean. I have been taking care of him as his wife for a little over 57 years and this is my job now. I know that it is going to get a lot worse and I hope that I can handle that. We have 3 daughters and 1 son, Ed doesn't know there names and 2 of the girls live 8 to 10 hrs away and when they come home, he doesn't know who they are. That is really hard on them. He wants to go for a ride in the prowler tomorrow, so I will take him somewhere. Thank God for the nice weather, I don't know how I will handle it this winter. All of you be careful and I wish all of you great health and happiness. Joyce

ALLEY CATThank you for informing us Mrs.

The POA Prowler community is one big family of owners and friends, who will keep your husband in our daily thoughts and prayers..........

StingRayAgreed .... perhaps take him for a drive .... always good for the mind and spirit!
SimonsezMost of the original Prowler owners have had the car for some 20 years. Life has moved on as we age. Thanks for posting as we all have concerns.
TucsonJerMy heart goes out to you. I understand completely what you're dealing with. All we can do is take one day at a time and make the most of every minute we have. I've been dealing with it for two years now and I know it's going to get much more difficult as time goes by. Stay strong and I wish you nothing but the best...
BeWareWe will keep him in our thoughts and payers.
ed monahanGood luck and God bless YOU. It is a hard journey. He is lucky he has you.
Landscape DoctorThoughts and Prayers go out to you both and your family. Sometimes it is a tough road but God gives us the strength to get through it.

LargentWe'll be thinking of you...
garysssOur prayers are with your family, my dad has had this for several years it can be very hard to deal with. They lose almost all memory of who are, who they were and how to do anything.
RPLThank you for checking in. We'll keep you both in our thoughts and prayers. This is what make Prowler what it is...the people!
CJSo very sorry to hear that. Dementia/Alzheimer's is a very difficult thing for caregivers. So hard on the families. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We are all here to listen too, if you need that.

The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche.

Ed loves the prowler and I was never aloud to drive it because of how much he enjoyed it. I take him in it as much as possible but I know that it isn't the same.

happydriverI want to thank everyone for the response, it is really hard to deal with. Ed had such a sharp mind that it is hard to believe his memory is gone. I took him for a long ride today and he said this is not the same as driving. I really felt bad about that. Thank all of you again for your thoughts and prayers.
RPLYou both are in our thoughts and minds. We'll take a moment during the Prowler 20th anniversary event to remember you both. That's 125 of your Prowler friends.
phil2237A very hard thing to go thru, We have close friends and the wife has the same thing and she is only 50 years old. All we can do if give them comfort & if the Prowler puts a smile on his face, by all means , take him for a long ride. Our prayers are with you and take good care of him.
mslc10It is most certainly a difficult place you are in! As my mom went thru this she always thought she was somewhere else. We always tried to correct her for fear of the residence claiming insanity . Then we just figured if she was happy thinking she was in California then so be it. Prayers are with you!
