JRLI was at the sale yesterday (Manheim)
A decent 6K mile 99 Purple Kat went thru the auction.
NO chrome wheels and looked sort of flat.
$29,500 sold!
Remember, there is still a buyer's fee of a few hundred dollars so figure 30K after all is said and done
MUCH better than last year's prices at this time
JRL
tangled up in BLUE...I still feel strongly these cars will be highly sought after collector cars, and may appreciate considerably down the road....but not in the near future....best investment is just havin' fun with them....they are a hell of a car for $30K.....
Dale BeamanYour are right about that Tangled!

Help me decide: $30,000 for a PT Converible or a Prowler?
GEE what a hard decision to make!!! Wait maybe a mini van - now that's a hard choice also!!!!

Fat PatPlease don't make fun of my "soccer mom car" I have a mini van AND a Prowler. 1st Prowler....4th mini van!! My Dodge Grand Caravan is a better road car than my Lincoln Towncar Cartier

Hey tangled, does that hold true for us who own the "underpowered" '97's?

ed monahanEd, not only do you have a cool car but you also have the pity of the rest of us Prowler owners who own 99 and newer. lol I think the 97s may be the highest priced ones later due to the low number and they were the first. (But I could be wrong)

Judging by your tenure on POA, I would think it unlikely that you're wrong. I've been thinking of a license plate........ANEMIC. Or how about a pop-up sign that states "This car only passes by appointment or down hill".

tangled up in BLUE...I think all Prowlers will pretty much fall into the same category pricewise....colors might make a slight difference, but there are no really rare or odd colors to stand out...any short comings in the power department should be compensated by the first year of production....but I honestly see very little difference down the road....

And the '97's shall forever be nicknamed "caboose"

Maybe those 37,000 miles were hard driven miles? Doesn't matter to me,,,,I'm not selling.

CJIt seems that the values are still "all over the board!". Condition and mileage should also play a big part in the resale value.

It's nice to see that in general, that the prices seem to be rising a bit........and that's good.

I didn't buy mine for investment......I bought them because I love them and want to drive them as long as I am physically able! They are one of the greatest pleasures in my life!

CAT-A-TONICOne thing is for sure. No auto company will ever build a car this cool again. These things look as bitchen now as they did when they first came out. And I'm totally glad I own one.
CJAmen to that!
99prowler99This is amazing. Someone is getting a great deal.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6414&item=4538299843&rd=1
superhappyfunballWow, that is a good deal. I bought my Prowler on Ebay, and was winning one for 28k when the guy pulled it. He relisted it with a higher reserve. So I bid elsewhere. I'm happy with my final Black Tie #100 Ebay purchase.
