This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-19-2013 at 10:07 PM Beware posted this link back in 2007. I like the rear end and manual. Anyone seen it sense on the road? http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/016119.html This message has been edited by treyb on 01-20-2013 at 12:03 AM Beach hit it first with #4, and onecat finished it up with pictures John, apparently Bob was in Scottsdale this weekend, and stopped by our big, Pavilion's B-J Day car show. First time I've seen this red Prowler here, and the car turned a few heads!! The Chevy V-8 was a good fit, and I liked the headlight switch modification and the fab work to fill-in where the OEM headlights originally were located This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 01-20-2013 at 05:13 AM This message has been edited by treyb on 01-20-2013 at 12:39 PM Didn't see the owner,,and we wanted to check for the a/c being hooked up, but didn't notice a compressor on the top side and we weren't about to touch the cat for a better look. Maybe John, onecatnodog, can answer that for us? ^^^ > Rear view, tranny cooler and painted tranny cooler cover. RealRod rolled rear pan, Corvette style,,it looks like. ---------------------------------------------------------- Same here,,would have enjoyed talking with the owner, but our paths didn't cross yesterday. Makes you wonder how well it turned out long term.
Any overheating etc? Just a guessbeachcat #4 onecatnodog My Friend Bob Law has a LS7 Prowler that I photoed about 5 years back... It's the old Paxton test mule car and I bought the old 3.5 Super Charged NOS injected engine out of it after they put the LS7 in the car.. The old 3.5 to soon be a 5.0 Super Charged NOS injected... Here some images of the LS7 Prowler... Could this be the one you are talking about? onecatnodog EssexExport # 4. ALLEY CAT BINGO
Taco Bell will have to cut-up the LucidEye dog log in half, and send to both of you guys.... Good jobtreyb One cat, alley Kat. What rear End or Trans did they use in that car it looks great and very very well done. Was he able to get a/c to work on it? ALLEY CAT Trey,,,,I looked under the red Prowler rear end,,,,it looked like the stock LE42 tranny, from what I could see..........oem tranny fluid cooler was still in place also. treyb Thanks for sharing From everything I'm seeing up front looks like the condensor is out. We are also finding this the case to get the most Airflow. Did you see if the radiator fan was mounted on the front or back facing the engine? The ls7 500 HP and 475ft lb tq is alot on the le42 stock Trans. I'm sure he has to be careful with a heavy foot and Wide open throttle launches.
Very nice thanks much for posting and the pictures. Would luv to catch up with him and exchange some notes.ALLEY CAT Aftermarket, Aluminum radiator,,,,did have a electric cooler fan mounted on the intake (grill) side of the radiator. diamondwymond i dig the old skool headlites. Marti's is the only other one i've seen pics of with that setup... Michael Pond I would think the Corvette trans would be a good replacement, because it fits in the rear of the Corvette connected by a torque tube. To get the same wheel base, just shorten the torque tube. treyb I do think a vette rear would be great the big trick with modern cars is just getting all of the electronics to talk! vette to vette could be probably better. Its all just time , money and a little risk taking as they say to get to the big potential benefit in the end. Whose up for it next? I hear this one has a similar beefed up 42LE prowler trans. quote:
