| Largent | Just wanted to pass on the good word -
I have installed Larry Lord's Deck Lid Hinge Protectors.
It's a 2 piece set. A U shape sheet metal component that creates a keep-out area and prevents trunk contents from slipping into the hinge.
Powder coat black finish is smooth and clean and it's the easiest mod I have installed to date.Just loosen the outboard hinge fastener on each side (one at a time) and slip it behind the washer. Easy peasy. Now when we take the Prowler to the Solvang, CA wine country we can load the trunk with bottles and not worry about smashing one when we close the trunk lid. Oh, and they look great too!

| RPL | If you don't have the deck hinge protectors on your Prowler you need them even if you haven't figured it out yet. We lost a cell phone to the hinges. I've seen pressurized cans explode in the trunk after being crushed by a hinge creating a huge mess. They're very easy to install and in my opinion, should have been on the car when built. Larry and FMB are very easy to deal with. So if you don't have them on your car, now is the time to add them. A public service announcement for newer Prowler owners. lol |

It's funny; I thought about writing my post directed specifically to new/recent owners but decided to make a general-type announcement.

They most certainly should have been original equipment.
Fit and finish makes it look like they are original equipment. You absolutely will not find anyone better to deal with!

Every Prowler should have them! Broke the tip off my Prowler umbrella that I use to care in the car before getting these from it getting under the hinge
