bdcurtis	To anybody thinking about buying a trailer to haul their Prowler: I have spent all my free time for over two weeks looking into a trailer, which includes reading every post on the POA website that I could find (and there are a lot). I’m here to tell you, the people on this website, KNOW what they are talking about!!! I thought I could save some $$$ by getting an 8’ wide instead of an 8’6”. In addition, I thought I could also save by not getting an escape door. Well folks, I WAS WRONG! I loaded my kat into the trailer today, for the first time and … lol … It took me and my neighbor 15 to 20 min to get it inside and once it was in, the only way I was going to get out was to climb on the seats and slide off the trunk. After I backed out my kat, I took the trailer back to the dealer, who gave me a 95% refund. I then ordered an 8’6” trailer with an escape door, and an extra wide beavertail rear door. I’m having my D-rings placed 12” from the back, 36” from the front and 27” from the side walls. The post that I found to be most helpful, are: tow trailer Tie down pattern for trailering Tieing the kat down to a trailer Even thou some of the post are 4-5 years old, I would like to thank all the POA members for sharing their knowledge on the trailer issue, even if I didn’t take it the first time. With special thanks to Mike Gatlin, Laddie Roussel, Al’s Prowler, Dave Mills, WildCat, Gary C. and the people who’s names I forgot. To sum it up, I wasted a whole day messing with this trailer, when I could have been installing my new spinners. ed monahan	If you would have bought an axe, you could have put in a nice escape route. lol. These guys know their stuff and are willing to share their knowledge and talent and time. A great bunch of folks hang out here.
MDProwler	That trailer looks just like mine. It is a little tight getting out but I will be installing an escape door in the future.
IM PRWLN	I have a 20' Haulmark Elite II which is 8'6" wide with no side escape door and my Prowler goes in and out fine, however, I do need to put the top down to get out of my car. That's probably because I don't "bend" like I used to! I don't know if the escape door would line-up with the door on the Kat or not. I would check the height of the doors etc. Good luck! Pat

2000Cat	I bought my Prowler to drive, its so much fun, why would anyone want to haul it around in a trailer. I don't get it

enduro	I too have a new 24' enclosed trailer. This one is used mostly for vehicle storage (including the Prowler), and I feel that the escape door is well worth the extra $300 it cost. It's just a "property tax free" garage. I couldn't imagine trying to get out of the Prowler or other larger car without climbing over the door or risking door dings without the escape door. quote: I bought my Prowler to drive, its so much fun, why would anyone want to haul it around in a trailer. IM PRWLN	SERIB...That's sounds great! I thought tonight was going to be the night (Milford, OH). Weather is not cooperating. I used my trailer to transport 2 other cars ('61 Corvette & '39 Ford Cpe) to Robert's Center (I-71 & U.S. 68) outside of Wilmington this morning in the rain. The Rotory Club wanted to use them in a display for the 75th Ann. Celebration this weekend. I purchased the trailer mainly to transport a '32 Ford Roadster (original) to national meets. I don't normally trailer the Prowler. I trailered it from Wisconsin (sp) last year when it was purchased. Better than driver the Kat through Chicago on a Friday afternoon! Pat

It's been driven from GA to Detroit MI (twice), Salt Lake City Utah, Gonzales LA, Daytona Beach FL, Louisville KY, and Mobile Alabama. However some of these trips have been costly. Damage to the hood paint causing repaint(Detroit trip), Broken Tail Pipe Hanger (Gonzales trip), Badly damaged Prowler trailer bra and cracked trailer fender (Utah trip) and damaged paint on front fenders causing repaint (Daytona trip). Plus my car has had to been completely repainted once from road debris damage (that was local deal). We now have a custom paint job which the insurance does not cover. So for long distance hauls (usually anything longer than a days drive) we trailer it now. Our Prowler gets driven a lot, but it is also a show piece and we like to keep it that way.
