I am new on this forum and I am big fan of the Prowler. I am trying to save some money now from a couple of months ago to put my hands on one good example. Also, as you could imagine I am from Canada (Montreal) and would like to bring a nice example from the States. However, I have a serious question: What is the REAL VALUE of a Prowler (Very nice example, w/ less than 10k miles) today. I mean I have seen Prowler priced up to 35-40K but saw them online for months now. Also, do you think that the prices will drop off or will rise from now to a year and a half. Thank you for taking time to answer.... I keep an eye on values both on trader.ca and ebay mostly out of curiosity... Canadian prowlers are around $35k and it seems that a US unit can be bought for around $26K with reasonable miles.... Prices will likely remain stable and likely not to go up in the recent future but not likely to drop either... Just my opinions here based on what I have seen... good luck on your search, I hope you find what you like and keep it forever... Multiple owners, more miles,,less cared for, less $$$. Good luck with your search! ------------------ Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage.... along with '06 SRT10 Viper Coupe Yea, I'd sell my Canadian Prowler Red for a little less than that, as I have 44,000kms, around 26,000miles. If I put mine up for sale, I'd list for $33,885 and hope to sell around the $30,000 (?) range. I think that would be fair. In Canada, you pay less tax for a private sale, than you would through a dealer, so that balances things out. I'd call it a solid 8 out of 10 vehicle. When I bought, I wanted an unspoiled stock original unit, and being Canadian, it had to be a real Canadian Car. I did one mod, and that's to paint the bumpers to body colour. This message has been edited by ProwlerBobWpg on 03-10-2011 at 09:49 PM You may be able to deal a little on this one very low miles Oh yea, you guys who went to HST got screwed on stuff like this. In other provinces, you just pay the GST and no PST on a private sale / used. [/B][/QUOTE] 2 words.......oil revenue. It's all no different. Does anyone know if you have to alter an American cat when you import to Canada? Or will it pass an RIV ? As far as I know, all you need to do is put DTRLs on it. That is correct. Very easy process (DRL module - $50 at Canadian Tire, maybe $100 max on a better quality one from a jobber). I have imported a handful of cars including a Prowler without any headaches and saved a pile of money in the meantime As far as I know, all you need to do is put DTRLs on it. Thanks for the info. I plan on importing one this year and wanted to make sure that there are no $ issues bring it in. I only used the trailer to store the Prowler in the winter. It can be part of a package. See the pic I posted earlier on this thread. This message has been edited by ProwlerBobWpg on 03-29-2011 at 12:41 PM ------------------ I really wanted to keep my Prowler stock, but the bumpers never seemed to look right. Some people said, get the kit to remove them, but that kind of thing will get a ticket here real quick. So, I figured they'd look less obvious if they were body coloured. I like it. ALLEY CAT If you are looking for a 'real nice cat' , one owner, under 10K miles,,,,you are probably looking at $32K to $34K usd range.

fibertop Just like everything else in Canada, Prowlers are higher priced here. But after you weigh in the hassles of importing, shipping and DTRL mods etc.,it is reasonable to pay 35K. Plus you get to do some tire kicking with local sales. In my case I was lucky to find a guy who was willing to do a part trade for a couple of jet skis I had. I gave up one toy for another. The good part is the jet skis were for my kids enjoyment mostly while I paid the costs. The prowler is just for me. dudeuconfuseme sent you PM phil2237 Kelly Blue Book claims they are in the area of $ 32,500 ProwlerBobWpg quote:

I think Quebec is the same deal. ProwlerBobWpg quote:

When you import you have to pay the GST on it then the PST when you title it in Onario. fibertop In Ontario there is no GST or PST anymore. Its all HST and you have to pay that no matter where it comes from and new or old and its 13%. Wayne Finch quote:

Did you paint the rear bumpers too and, if so, would you post a photo of that please. ed monahan If you look at his first picture, next to the Linc. Continental, you can see the edge of the rear bumper.

Wow, I looked for pics of the rear of the car... I don't have one! I seem to have lost a whole file of pics. Sorry, but yes, the rear bumper is done too.
