ed monahan The Summer Nights cruise is going to be having their 2nd annual "power tour" to the big car show on July 28th.
They will be starting a caravan just south of Florence, KY at the Richwood Rest Stop at 9 AM. They will be starting another caravan from Louisville and one from TN, also. Supposedly they have about 100 Vettes meeting at the Corvette Museum and they will hook up with the group out of TN. (Nashville, I think).
They have police escorts lined up and are hoping for 3000 cars. I got a phone call this morning asking me to try to round up the local Prowler group. So if anyone is interested keep this date in mind. I will list it in the Upcoming Events section when we get a little closer.
Last year Dale Beaman, Don & Peg Wellbaum from Union and myself were there although I did not caravan it due to heavy rains that morning.
Somerset is a nice little town and they close off the down town streets and you park in the town square. Later they drive out to the outskirts and there are a ton of folks sitting in lawn chairs watching the cars parade past. Lots of restaraunts out that way.

Marty Usher Since I have a SSR, should I cruise in with the Corvettes or the Prowlers? Or I could always just stay home.
Sounds like a fun weekend Ed. Schedule permitting, we'll try to be there.
Tennessee Cat We will sure try and make it. It would be our first Prowler event and we sure would look forward to it. Especially being an ex-many times over Corvette owner.
We also would get to meet many of the characters in this group.
bjprowler Sorry I missed that one last year but I understand it's quite an event and I hope to be there this year..Don't forget to remind us as the date gets closer Ed..

We have a few SSR's that like to cruise with the Northeast Prowler Group. Real down to earth people...like yourself.

...last time I went thru Sommerset I was in a black SRT10 Viper, I had a police escort for nearly 20 miles, one in front and one behind...they told me I had "perty lips"
