The problem with this bill is that it speaks of Attacks on Max Cleland and John Kerry. Both of whom have became politicians and opened themselves to questions because of them doing the same. Especially John Kerry who immediately after returning from Vietnam called the military baby killers and such, He has even made similar accusations about our troops. And I notice an admission to Boxers Bill. There is nothing there about the accusations thrown against George W Bush military record. Nice try Barbara but it comes up way short. Now I understand why it was voted down. Senator Barbara Boxer introduced a separate counter resolution, which hasn't yet been made public, that would call for condemnation of all political attacks on the "honor, integrity, and patriotism" of men and women in the military. Boxer's resolution specifically mentions GOP attacks on both Max Cleland in 2002 and John Kerry in 2004, in addition to the MoveOn ad against Petraeus. Here's Boxer's resolution: Purpose: To reaffirm strong support for all the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and to strongly condemn attacks on the honor, integrity, and patriotism of any individual who is serving or has served honorably in the United States Armed Forces, by any person or organization IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES–110th Cong., 1st Sess.
