401KATJust got back .. I’ll start by saying once again Steve and helpers did it again.. Great times ..

I won’t forget meeting Tony Goertz and wife and realizing there as funny as they are smart.. 😁😁
For those that think that a 70+ yr old can’t drive one you need to follow Rich Ware through the dragon.. Although I could read the yr sticker on his license plate he shamed me in some corners.. 😁😁

I’m also going to help finance the Amanda Clark School of Driving.. (if you were there you know)

Also I noticed there are at least 63 prowlers that DONT NEED the injectors cleaned..The dragon took care of that..

And last (for now ) the OG guys and gals really made an effort to bring the new kids into the fold .. We had some issues with which direction we were to go but with 63 cars I expected that.. But the new friends that wife and I have now along with the old ones cannot be expressed how much fun we have..

For those who choose not to come you missed some of the greastest, sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure to be around.. Jim & Pat

TucsonJerI drove 1860 miles just to get this beautiful trophy and it was worth every mile. The aluminum base is a slice off an actual Prowler frame. Jeff Wallis and Gary Knepper did a beautiful job on it. It’s going right beside the one I got in West Virginia.
ed monahanI agree that those two did a fantastic +++++ job on those awards. They always do great work but I really, really liked that one.
ed monahanIt didn't feel like a REAL POA event!!!
It didn't rain at all, not even once. Never, zippo, nada, not a drop. For all the old timers it was a total shock since we have lived through the great floods at the first TX and Tulsa events where there were deluges. Beautiful, cool, sunny weather every day. Fantastic. We are spoiled now.

On the way home the latch on the Candy trailer broke. Kees was following me in the Purple and I saw it fairly quickly. I had taken a rope with me so we rigged it up and made it home. I think I have it fixed now but I need to look for my Larry Lord brace that I have had for about 20 years and install it. Luckily I didn't lose my new frilly underwear, (thanks Margot) No pictures CURRENTLY available (or in the future). You had to be there, you snooze, you lose

401KATCouple other observations

Wanda and the POA dance team haven’t lost their moves..😂😂

Never stayed anywhere before where all the trash cans were BEAR PROOF..

Unless I miscounted the FASTEST COLOR was the most attended… ORANGE..😁😁

I have trailered my car 6000 miles to last 3 events..I have driven it 2000 miles
over the 14 driving days of these events

And this trip we drove 600 miles in 4 days and 400 of them was in 2nd/3rd gear..😁😁😁😁

Congratulations to those who discovered auto stick for there 2nd run thru the dragon…😎😎😎😎

And last for this post if everyone living in the Netherlands is as NICE AND NEVER AGING As Kees then Ed and I need to move .. 😂😂😂

BeWareThis was another fantastic event. For us, Prowler events are about the friendships old and new and not about the cars. The weather was absolutely perfect. We drove the Dragon three times. Driving wise it doesn’t get much better than that. The best times though are hanging out in the parking lot just enjoying each other’s company.

Remember if someone again tells you your afraid to drive it… tell them to call me .. I know better… 😁😁😁😁

Kees is 46. lol

jwallisDon’t forget to check out the pictures that were taken on the tail of the dragon 129 Slayer pictures can be difficult to find if you don’t know the time. On September 19 they start about 12:30 PM. On September 21 they start about 11:18 AM. For 129 photos put in the date and Prowler. It will bring the pictures right up.
jwallis The end of the slow group !
TFischerWe had a great time! We took some time off for several years as we had family commitments that needed our attention, but the last few events we have been able to make. The weather this go around was absolutely perfect in every way and so was the company. Thank you to everyone, we had a blast and the Tail of the Dragon was a great time as always! Will miss seeing everyone and hope to see you in 2024.
padrooIt was nice meeting you Jim. I met a bunch of new people and connected with some old friends and caught up on what is happening in their lives. It's a shame we are scattered all over the country. I haven't driven the Interstate Highways for about three years. It was crazy going to Gatlinburg and a five foot long 6 X 6 in my lane on I-75 in the middle of a curve. My wife said, is there any way we could go home and not get back on the Interstate? We took the back roads home and saw some nice country and more sensible drivers to boot.
Took an extra three hours longer but still made it home in one long day.
jimsuttonNice to meet You also and all of the new Prowler owners . Had a wonderful tme .. I don't think I will be able to make the next one might be to long a drive for me .. But ya never know ??? Glad every one got home safe ..

Jeff, I thought we were pushing the slowpokes ahead of us!!

Stray CatWonderful time, incredible weather and truly enjoyed meeting new people and catching up with others. Sad that some people I did not speak with as long as I really wanted to. Two weeks would have been fun!

Driving home, I had to lock up the wheels as a van pulled right out in front of me while I was cruising at 72 MPH, With the trailer on back, frightened me and seriously locked 'em up. Then, a pair of gawkers drove by taking pictures and as the driver looked over, almost side swiped me. I had to swerve to the right to avoid them taking the side of the car out. Needless to say, had to pull off to get my nerves calmed down. We are safe at home but those were very scary.

Not event related

If we have time we always took state road over interstate

I left Greenfield on my Goldwing & didn’t get on interstate till Jasper Florida

Believe 41 goes from northern border to south Florida
