BradleyG	Finially getting my parts from the painter. Does anybody have pictures and/or instructions for the install. Any Tips, Tricks or shortcuts you know of?? ALLEY CAT	Bradley - first,,do you have a receiver hitch already installed? What about a tranny cooler cover?

BradleyG	You guys are the best. Larry, I have the hitch ready to install at the same time as the pan, and even have instructions included. I installed the cooler cover a few months ago. Norm, as always, your pictures are great. I just can't ever seem to be able to find them when I start looking. Do I need to remove any other parts during the install or use any 2 sided tape? Thanks very much for your help.... Brad
ALLEY CAT	Bradley - as I recall,,,,,I already had the hitch receiver previously installed,,,and had to reverse a couple or so of the bolts and nuts for clearance,,,to allow room for the pan to clear. I also had to remove the tranny cooler cover,,,,and drop the tranny cooler itself a few inches during the install,,,,then replace it all back into place after the new pan was in place. I assume the 'Smoothie' pan doesn't have the back-up light holes??? If you are not going to have to use back-up lights,,,your install will be easier. The factory wiring on the back-up lights was a real pain trying to undo,,,because I already had the receiver hitch installed. The key is patience,,,,whiskey nearby,,,,a mouthful of cuss words now and then,,,,,a gopher helper with small hands will help.
ALLEY CAT	Forgot,,,2 sided tape? No,,,don't remember using any. Once the stock pan is ready to come out,,,,note,,there are shims on the top portion [underside]. Carefully remove the shims in exact order, and silicone them onto the new pan in the same order. That's what I did, and all came out alright.
BradleyG	Thanks, I'm off to the garage to tackle this little monster. I guess I've got the roadster pan, as it looks just like Norm's with the back up lights. I believe you saved me some time and grief. I don't drink, so I may be in for some trouble. I'll take double shots of iced tea and let out a few "Dadgumits" and get to work. I'll let you know. ALLEY CAT	OK,,,,,,,,,I'll assume you are removing the stock pan first,,and then putting the receiver hitch on. Make sure the stock wiring harness for the back-up lights are available to reach then,,,,that will save you the torture I went through,,,,with the wire connectors way up in there tucked/trapped above the hitch. BradleyG	Had to stop for a few hours. Grill time for 14 steaks and kids, nephews, GRANDKIDS and others. Glad I came back inside. I can unwrap the wireing harness before putting the new pan on. I didn't think there was so much to installing the trailer hitch. It's not just a bolt on. A little more work, but just takes more time. I found another TGF part not fitting right. 3rd brake light cover with attaching bolts off by 1/2 inch. Bummer. Thanks again... Brad

BradleyG	Thanks goodness I didn't watch the awful game the Mavs played last night. I didn't even hear about it until this morning. Yep... That was me groaning. I didn't get started until after 9:00 pm, but by 1:30, I had the hitch installed (only had a 1/4" drill. Forgot who borrowed my 1/2" drill) including the 1 1/8" access hole. The rear pan and all the trimmings, and new rear mud flaps. Hope I don't have to change my license plate anytime soon. . I'm really glad you mentioned the wiring harness or I may have quit early and not finished last night. Even took time to polish some of the frame in the rear. When I knocked on my neighbors door at 1:00 this morning to help me put the deck lid back on, he sent his Pit Bull out instead. Crazy motor cycle ryder should know a dog can't hold that deck lid still enough to get the bolts back in, so maybe I can get him to help tonight. It really looks good. TGF Spoiler is ready to put on now. The 3rd brake light cover mounting bolts didn't even come close. I had to grind them off and glue them back on in the right place. Installed my black TGF grill I got from Buddy on Ebay. Can't figure out how to mount the little back bumpers I got from Real Rod Bob, but they will be cool when I get it figured out. Have one other surprise mod to install that I got from Northern Cat. REAL ROD BOB's REAR PAN FITS EXACTLY LIKE IT SHOULD. Thanks, Bob for a quality product. Thank you to A/C and Pumpkin for the help. Can hardly wait to get pictures posted.
