I'm pretty sure it is used in the 300M (front wheel drive version). Can't say about the manufacturer. Bob - what kind of other bodily noises were the whales producing? Alley Cat - the other sounds were, were, were, well, er, it was FARTING and BELCHING, sometime simultaneously! What a man,,,,who can admit our shortcomings on manners! ------------------Bob Miller After nearly eating ourselves to death Thanksgiving, several of us were lying on the floor and on the furniture watching football like a bunch of beached whales. Between the groaning, long sighs, snoring, and other bodily noises the conversation turns to Prowlers and this young guy from NYC tells me the 3.5L engine used in Prowlers is manufactured by Mitsubishi and is used in several DC and Mitsubishi cars. I told him I doubted that since it took my local DC dealership a week to find an alternator for my Prowler. Does anyone know (1) does DC in fact make this engine and (2) is it used on other vehicles? Thanks Bcoffman Gray Ghost quote:

Thankscatfish the 3.5 is manufactuered by dc it is not a mitsubishi engine.its used in dodge intrepids, and all big body chryslers.the new 3.5 is in 2004s is not the same Marty Usher The 3.5 has been used in the 99-2003? 300M and Intreped. It is the standard engine in the Pacifica and is the middle range engine in the new 300 and Magnum. WildCat mitsubishi made a V6 but it was a 3.0 ALLEY CAT The 3.5L engine dates back to the early Intrepids and Eagle [remember those?] car lines. The original was a cast iron block and dual throttle bodies. That motor was used in the 1997 Prowlers, before the change to aluminum, single throttle body, and higher compression came into the picture. DC produced is correct. Bob Miller Thanks for the info. I'll have to set my friend from NYC straight. ALLEY CAT Bob - I was afraid you were going to say that!!! Bob Miller AC - At least we didn't light 'em!!! catfish the 3.5 in the magnum is a different 3.5 than prowlers, its the new so to speak 3.5.the 300m comes w/the same 3.5 thats in prowlers.
