Thanks in advance! Ray Found the other link: http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/010155.html This message has been edited by RBADKAT on 05-05-2004 at 01:07 AM Another question from that link ... how many trailer owners have actually shortend their toungus as Larry describes?? Any towing difference?? Thanks all and specially Rbadkat ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ ------------------Ray I need a quick reply to the following question from someone using the Larry Lord upright trailer stand (the one that attaches (?) to the axle and allows the tralier to be rolled (?) back and up into a standing position. IF placed against a wall, and how far away from wall is the trailer ... how much floor space does the trailer occupy (depth from wall, width and height with tongue too I guess). Could someone please provide me these specs as soon as possible please? RBADKAT Ray, just now did a search and found this link, it gives the height. (Trailer Stand)
I will see if I can find the other link that give you the amount of space it takes up in reference to the rest of your question. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005081.html
Dan G.Ray MUCH thanks!! Must learn how to use the search function on here I suppose ... am out to measure now to see if I can become a trailer owner. Larry Lord The FMB Prowler Trailer Upright Storage Stand will now allow you to STORE YOUR PROWLER AND TRAILER IN ONE NORMAL PARKING SPACE IN YOUR GARAGE!!!!
One of the problems that I personally have encountered with my own trailer is the space required to store it. It takes a whole parking space in my garage, my Prowler takes the other, and my truck sits outside in the weather.
I've now designed a stand that I now feel is an excellent investment for anyone who owns a Prowler trailer. The FMB Prowler Trailer Upright Trailer
Storage Stand is a quality, first class, heavy duty, powder coated and packaged product that meets my finicky standards.
The FMB stand allows you to store your Prowler trailer in a floor space of only 31" x 70" and under 100" of ceiling height.
Your trailer can easily be stood upright by only one person using the FMB stand. The rollback tubes are easily removed for towing while the receiver brackets stay mounted on your trailer's axle flange, neatly hidden from vision when towing or showing your trailer.
When you are ready to stand your trailer upright, you just insert the tubes and tighten the thumbscrews. You're ready to tip your trailer upright. The FMB stands are easily installed and include DUAL SAFETY tip stops to prevent accidental tipping of the trailer.
Utilizing heavy duty construction and finished in semi gloss black powder coat, the stands are in stock and ready to ship. All hardware is included in the cost of $249.95 per stand, plus $28.00 for shipping via FedEx.
On my personal trailer, while I was doing my prototype work, I shortened the draw bar by about 3" and re-drilled the holes to allow a little more ceiling clearance. My trailer now stands 97" when upright and I have noticed no difference while towing.
You can also cut a little off the rollback tubes to lower the height but be careful not to cut too much or your trailer will touch the floor while you tip it.
If you have an extremely low ceiling height: The total height required in the upright position with a full length draw bar is just under 100 inches.
The tongue however is easily removable and the body of the trailer alone will be about 60" tall. If you remove the tongue before standing the trailer upright, you will need to insert a short temporary piece of tubing to lift with. This will increase your leverage and will make it a 2 person job to stand the trailer upright. Normally this is not a big problem but you will need to be sure that you have someone to help or that you yourself are moderately strong.

FMB Prowler Products. meancat Because and only because I own a prowler and a trailer I should get a discount. When do they come on sale? What about a group discount? what about a event discount? What about rolling back the price discount?.What about mothers day discount?Boy with my ideas and your skill we're going to be rich... Ray LL ... Can you show photo of Prowler and Trailer in same size spot ... had I known this fact (as was looking at adjacent spot in garage for trailer, but have HArley there now) I might have gone forward with a trailer purchase =( bummer perhaps ... but still have to work around the lift situation here too ... hmmmm pondering ... prwlyn I've got Larry's stand and I checked and standing at the front of the garage I can pull the KAt in with about 2' between the trailer and the nose of the car. Solved the problem of having to put one of the kats outside. Both now are in the garage plus two trailers, one is not a Prowler trailer.
