Would there be any interest in having a section on the POA website called 'POA Member Hostels' (or something to that effect) which would...: 1. Allow POA members who would be glad to put up other members (and their Kats, of course!) for a day or two as they travel through their area to volunteer to be 'posted' on the website as a 'POA Host Hostel' (or whatever)... 2. The website could have a map of the USA showing the locations of Kat owners who have volunteered to be a host (or hostess!)... 3. Clicking on the map (or going to another page) would list Kat hosts names, address, phone numbers, email addresses... 4. Clicking on the host entry would also link to a MapQuest/MapBlast page showing a map with host location, driving directions from whereever, etc. POA members could then plan their trips and vacations with an occasional 'Kat Stop' to visit old (and new!) friends...members would just call/email each other to arrange details, availability, etc. If anyone is interested in this idea, you can put Holly and I down as a 'Hostel Host'! The only thing you probably should somehow make this info secure so that not just anyone could have access. I believe this idea was brought up once before and several people were concerned about having the info in #3 as a little too much. We don't have a problem and just enjoy having contact with folks from around the US visit us, in fact we have done this with the Mercedes folks and the PT Cruiser folks. ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . More cars and other stuff New pictures in Personal Scrapbook (02/23/03) "The Prowler is not a car to go from Point A to Point B. The Prowler is the Point!" I usually will post or message POA members when I am going to be in their city if I think I will have enough time to visit and let them decide if they want to meet. I really like the overall idea of POA people getting together and meeting as they travel. Even with 70, 80 or even 100 cars attending a large event means there are hundreds more POA people we are getting to meet. And meeting during an individual trip or at a small gathering of people allows you to spend more time and get to know people better. ------------------ Roman - you THINK it is a joke, but Bob Goetz has already been looking for a "solar shower" bag to hang in the tree in your front yard! YOur neighbors will be impressed ------------------ ------------------ Guy and ChristineBob Harder Reading about Norm and Pat's visit with Dawn and her son gave me an idea... pumpkin Great idea, count us in.

"I may have to grow older, but I do not have to grow up!"CJ We've already had several guests.....and one coming up this weekend. We'd be happy to be on the list. No one comes to Michigan, though, for other than Dream Cruise!! Marty Usher I have stayed at the homes of POA members when I am traveling and have had POA members stay at our house. We are alway open to visits from POA people when they are in town and try our best to schedule time to meet for dinner, drinks or whatever. Personally I would not ask to stay with anybody that I didn't already know. Perhaps if I had extensive interaction with someone on the website but I have not yet met and they invited me to stay I would consider it. Same goes for people staying with us.

Now there is a picture for the P.O.A.-Bob taking a solar shower on my front lawn...meancat I don't know. sometime's people will lock me out or just act like there not home,When you know thy really are home.I hate to drive another 1200 miles and sleep in the car again.(like the last 4 times) cnote6 Well, I dont know who put our name on the list but our house has been used a few times???? xpguy This is a great idea. It is amazing how many relatives I never knew I had call us after we moved to San Diego. We have six bedrooms and only three are filled with kids, so we will always have room for guests. Hurry before we have any more kids though! lbs34rod I posted a similar area a year ago. And everyone said they would not publish their information.
I use to belong to the NSRA National Street Rod Association. We had a small book of Names and phone #'s by state and town. It was called the Fellow Pages and if you where in the area or your car broke down you could call a fellow rodder and get help or just meet with them. It really worked because my car broke down in the middle of Kansas at 10:00 at night and I called one of the rodders in the area and he came out and helped me fix the car and put me up for the night. I have done it for two guys that had problems when they where in Colorado. It Works!
