Our scoring by the judges was pretty fair - I think the point spread between the rankings must have been close - as both of our score sheets were pretty high! The Kats really looked good, and it was interesting to see how people we doing a side by side comparison of the two different year models. It's always good to see the Kats place when the trophies come out. The rain hit at the end of the show - Mickey cut out as soon as it let up, but I stuck around a "few" more hours as another shower hit. That's ok though, got a chance to hang out some more with my kid and his family as we walked around the Traders Village grounds. His wife had to leave and "scouted" out the streets for me. Once I got the "streets were dry" call, I took off north and put the Kat back under cover! All and all and excellent day! ------------------ ------------------idive Today was the 7th annual Grazin' with the Goats car show at Traders Villiage in Houston. Last year Tom took 3rd in that show. Today, weather started out beautiful! Jim and his wife Laraine stopped by for a visit. After shining the cars up, the wait began, and it was a long day, but a fruitful one. Tom and I were placed in 2 different categories again this year, but that was explained away with having different year models, but both were still in the original unmodified 1994 - 2004 class. Some classes offered 3rd place, some didn't. Tom picked up 3rd place in his class, then they read off winners in my class category, starting with 2nd place. My name was not read off. Then they moved to the next category, and mine was the first name read, winning a 2nd place plaque. I think I was the only one in my class so they put me into another one after judging. Just as the awards were winding down, the rains moved in. Tom and I waited a little while til it stopped, then I headed home (about 3 blocks away.) Tom, on the other hand, I THINK, finally got a wash job on his kat. (Sorry folks, my digital is down, so all my pics are 35mm. No scanner access.) TLRandall Mickey and I had a great day - proudly representing the POA! As always, there was a lot of interest in the Kats, lots of pictures and questions. I got there early and saved us a good spot where we got a lot of traffic. It was good to see Jim and Laraine stop by - and I ran across a few more folks from other shows.

It's funny (not really) how long a person will sit to keep his Kat from getting wet! Ran across a few puddles on my way to 290 - drove R E A L L Y slow! Kat looked pretty good when I got home! CJ If RPL can survive my cats getting wet........anyone can! lol! TLRandall So far, it's two weeks shy of being 2 years old, and still have been lucky!
