------------------ This message has been edited by Y2KRedProwler on 08-03-2012 at 10:28 PM I would call the major Chrysler dealerships in the area and ask if they still have one on staff. Even if they don't have one, their mechanics have access to all the technical data. The dealership I went to last didn't have one but they realized the car was special and they treated it with a lot of respect. They even took pictures with their staff and posted them on their FB page. ------------------ Probably have forgot most things unique to the Prowler by now since so many sit in the garage, and never come in for service. I'd look for a Dodge dealer with a Viper tech,,,most likely the best wrench at the dealership. Simple request, and should have been provided in initial post. I'm wondering if any senior mechanic in a Chrysler dealership has the knowledge and resources to handle 95% of the prowler. It's a fairly simple car with modern technology. Isn't it? Does anyone know what a prowler tech is taught that other chrysler techs aren't. Simple request, and should have been provided in initial post. First off you don't have any friends here looking for Prowler Techs. But here you go for no reason, MARINO CHRYSLER 773-777-2000 AND FEENEY CHRYSLER 847-697-0900. There is also another dealer on the south side of Chicago. Maybe Chi town prowler will read this and post the dealer for no reason. The initial post was for Canada. I'll guess,,,best I can do: 1. Speedy hood strut replacement procedures I'll guess,,,best I can do: 1. Speedy hood strut replacement procedures You could be bang-on on this Larry. Maybe this prowler tech stuff is just a bunch of hype. Who knows better, what goes wrong with prowlers than we do? We know most of the fixes. The stuff that is truly above our heads can be looked after by any experienced Chrysler tech. 1. You, with no true Prowler friends anywhere, how would you know that? 2. True, Norman's initial post was asking about techs in Canada,,,,,then why bother to interject about Chicago area Prowler techs since it didn't answer the original question? 2a. Thanks for the names and numbers.....I'll forward ahead 2. It was stated no Prowler techs read my first post real slow. This message has been edited by WINDY CITY PROWLER on 08-04-2012 at 04:39 PM Your 3 quotes: "First off you don't have any friends here looking for Prowler Techs." Get a clue....the question was about Canada area,,not Chicago area. We know most of the fixes. The stuff that is truly above our heads can be looked after by any experienced Chrysler tech. There it is but don't try to tell the dealer tech or service writer you have a possible idea of what the problem is,,,,,,they don't want to hear it,,,trust me. Your 3 quotes: [B]"First off you don't have any friends here looking for Prowler Techs." A statement posted by Catfish real prowler techs are extinct. ------------------ This message has been edited by catfish on 08-04-2012 at 07:03 PM 905 850-1830 Darren's shop is the only one I would trust doing work on my prowler. This message has been edited by Blue Tie on 08-04-2012 at 08:07 PM NORMAN How or where could I find a real Prowler TECK in Quebec CANADA? catfish real prowler techs are extinct. Y2KRedProwler Why do you say, "real Prowler techs are extinct"? I am still going to the same Prowler tech, at the same dealership, since the day I purchased mine almost 13 years ago. silverkat There is a real prowler tech at Stephens Chrysler/Dodge Rt. 40 Greenwich NY. His name is Todd. beachcat They're not extinct but definitely on the endangered list. They just don't make them anymore. catfish what really makes a prowler tech.a prowler tech.what are/were you trained in that doesnt apply to other mopar cars.didnt mean to offend you, what can you do that other techs cant. ALLEY CAT Those techs went to Prowler school 15 years ago...
jmoWINDY CITY PROWLER I have been to 2 different dealers here in Chicago that have Prowler Techs. So they are not extinct as the experts say. ALLEY CAT quote:

Good,,,I have some friends in that area looking for a dealership with those techs.....could we be provided with both dealerships names and their phone numbers?xtreme prowler There is a shop in Ontario that services a few Prowlers for the owners... I can't remember the name of the shop, maybe the Ontario guys can post up with their suggestions.. padroo The dealership I went to last year sold Prowlers. I don't know if they all did and I am sure someone here knows. They still had a Tech that was trained on the Prowler but I didn't get to talk to him. Did you notice that when the name Tech is added that the price goes up. Now they have Tire Tech's. Used to be it was some kid in the shop that got a move up from sweeping the floors. I am not degrading training and experience because at times it does help and you should expect to pay someone for their expertise and experience. beachcat There is a guy in the north GTA that knows his stuff. I haven't used him but I can email you that info. WINDY CITY PROWLER quote:

2. The initial post was for Canada.beachcat my hot rod guy says he can login to some chrysler site (using his brother-in-law's password) Where he can enter his problems and/or symptoms and come back with any number of similar experiences and fixes of other chrysler techs around the world. He can do this for the prowler. WINDY CITY PROWLER quote:

He's a super nice guy and he still has all the paper manuals right next to his desk. He gave me copies of them for nothing. I'm sure he would help out a dealership in Canada if there was some knowledge he could impart. Hope this is helpful to initial poster. Thanx guys. WINDY CITY PROWLER quote:

",,,,I'LL JUST IGNORE ANY OTHER POSTS HERE AS I DO THE OTHER CLOWN" catfish i guess i offended y2k since he hasnt answered the post,or maybe he wants to keep it a secret.who cares.any qualified mopar tech can work on a prowler, lets face it,all cars are basically built the same, you might need expertise in the things alley cat suggested,i should have put almost extinct.after 15 yrs.most have left that dealer or are retired.ill bet there isnt 25 9n the whole usa.wcp, you dont know crap.its pretty dam lame when you have to go to a website and as somebody what kind of car to buy, thats really lame, kinda of like asking what kind of food should you buy.the only real parts on a cat that would need special training maybe woud be the driveshaft and transaxle. wqqdies Many Toronto and southern Ontario Prowler owners use a private shop for their maintenance and repairs. The owner drives a Viper and his employees know Prowlers inside out. The name is D&J Automotive, 8060 Kipling Avenue, Woodbridge,Ontario. Highly recommended!! Blue Tie quote:
