| BradleyG | Bought Control Freaks from Bob, RPL many years ago and time to install them. A friend is coming to help me tomorrow.
NEED DETAILED instructions. Instructions on CF website is not detailed enough. I searched 44 posts, and can't find instructions. Can some one post or send me some.

| phil2237 | Lay arm side by side and get them as close as possible by adjusting them. Do one at a time. Then you need to get it to an alignment shop as soon as you get them installed. Drive directly to the alignment shop and have them aligned. You will wear the tires out quickly if you fail to get them aligned right away. Call ahead before the installation to make sure they are able to do a rear Prowler alignment. Or you can have the alignment shop install them. | BradleyG | Thank you Phil. I had forgotten about making same length at each location. Seems like I read somewhere to torque to 120 Ft lbs with the cars weight jacked up under the control arms. |
| BradleyG | That was so easy. If I could have loosened the nuts, I could have done it 1 handed. Adjusted each link, 1 at a time to same length as the original. Supported the full weight of the car under control arms and torqued nuts to 120 ft pounds. Getting 4 wheel alignment tomorrow.

| phil2237 | 120 FT is correct. A few years ago my Prowler was covered by their extended warranty. I noticed play in the links and took it to the dealer who replaced the 4 arms. I assumed they did an alignment right after they installed them , but I did not check. 200 miles later my rear tires were bald on the inner edge. Took it back to the dealer and after fighting with them for an hour , it was discovered they didn't do the alignment. The dealer bought 2 new rear runflats and aligned the rear. That's why I stated to take the car in as soon as you install the arms. The tire will wear out quickly. Glad you got it done. |
