TooHipCat Does anyone happen to know the part number for the (bottom) drivers side panel retaining clips? I removed my drivers side engine panel to install the beautiful clear side marker lenses from Dale when the clip closest to the front of the car virtually crumbled in my hand due to it being so rusty.
Are these clips still available and what kind of bogus fastener did DC use to install them? Looks like I'll have to drill out the heads on the existing fasteners.
Thanks once again for your help everyone and have a good night/day.
Brian

Thanks to Mike I now have the part number for the clips that the dealership couldn't find! Hopefully they're still available.

Just in case you didn't realize that the number 4 to the right of the part number just indicates that the Cat requires 4 clips. I know...you guys already knew that...lol.
Thanks again everyone for all of your help!
Brian

ALLEY CATBrian - Bruce hasn't worked for that DC dealership in quite some time,,,,,he now works for Advance Auto Parts.

Try these places:

Suburban Auto & Truck Parts
603-880-9008
102 Plaza
Derry Road
Hudson,NH 03051

Salem Auto Supply Inc.
603-893-4820
373 South Broadway
Salem,NH 03079

Dracut Auto Parts
978-957-5370
1274 Lakeview Ave
Dracut,MA 01826

Merchants Auto Parts
603-695-9333
1278 Hooksett Rd.
Hooksett,NH 03106

Look in the HELP section of parts to see what they offer. Also,,,,look to see if they have some Carquest ABH packages of clips available. ABH is the product code reference.

A/C,
Are the clips you mentioned above compatible with the original Cat clips?
I will try and give our NEW go to guy Jeff Hunter a call to see if he can tell me if the original clips are still available. I just thought that maybe someone knew the part number of these clips off the top of their head.
Thanks for your help once again and have a great day!

Brian

ALLEY CATBrian - take one of your good clips into one of those parts stores I listed above,,,or a Carquest 20 miles away.

A B H stands for Automotive Basic Hardware. Carquest has a ABH book to match up your clip as close as possible [ known as a speed nut clip ]. There are several types and sizes,,,,,,usually = J clip,,,U clip,,,wide open clip,,,etc. The part item code is A B H - then a long set of numbers. Ask the counterman to help you out. If the store doesn't have on hand,,,it usually can get it for you in one or two days. Only couple of bucks for a package of several. Good luck! If they fix you up,,,,give us the part number here. Thanks

TooHipCatA/C,
I will post a part number when I receive one. I will beat up on my local Chrysler parts dealer tomorrow and try to get a number out of him before I take the route you suggested.
Thanks again and goodnight!
Brian
