Sky Pilot | I just purchased my Orange "Halo" lights, Xenon head lights, & Replaced all my bulbs with the new LED style. It really looks good. The "Halo" rings show off real well during the day and I use them as my day time running lights. There were 38 light bulbs to replace...There is only one approved installer (Phoenix Motor Sports) in San Diego. He did a great job, but it took all day Sat. & 4-1/2 hrs. on Sun to finish. The problem we had was that the headlight assembly would not fit into the oven. A 20 minute process ended up taking 4 hrs. per head light to disassemble. This was the 1st Prowler to be done in So. Cal. I can't wait to see what everyone thinks of them. I took pictures through out the whole process, but I don't know how to post them. See some of you this Sat at the P.T Picnic. Rick |

catfish | sky, heres a simpler way,you dont need to put in a oven,i wouldnt do that.after removing the lite from the car, remove all small screws on backside.remove top cover, you will see the silicone seal holding the lite together, take a razor blade and cut the silicone seal where you can.grasp the two halves and with all your might pull them apart, slowly the halves will seperate.no heat needed.reseal with silicone.i have taken many apart this way and dont have to worry about melting or distorting a lite,it works. ------------------

hollywoodinjax | Sky Pilot, what is the brightness you ended up getting? CCFL: 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K

phil2237 | Can,t tell you the brightness, but they sure look good on Ricks car ( Sky Pilot ). You won,t be disapointed ! They look a little brighter than the clearance lights. |

Rick ( Sky Pilot ) is having surgery on his knee Wednesday, probably be off the computor for a few days. |
xtreme prowler | I had a set of these, they are just small round glass neon tubes.... broke one on the install so that was the end of that project. These lights are for effect and don't project any amount of light themselves.. unfortunately the lights came without instructions and I didn't know they were glass... |
hollywoodinjax | thanks DFOTOPRO, guess i could have googled it.. ------------------
