Slick Being that I was in the Tool & Die field and enjoyed working with my hands, I started doing woodworking. I was able to setup a small shop in my outbuilding to have something to do in retirement. My first project turned out OK in my book, as I know where the flaws are. Started another table over this past winter that is still a work in progress. It is made out of Cherry, as I have plenty of it from my Father-in-laws property.

My problem is I do so many different things, one shop would not work, I am not a woodworker, but I did build this house.

It is a small shop, but rather well equipped with things on mobile bases. Just out of sight is my Grandfathers Craftsman Band Saw. It is indeed older than me.
Physically building your own house, that is a fantastic accomplishment.

Landscape Doctor Very nice. Woodworking is a art only very few can master. Great hobby.
Slick I made a promise to my wife that I would work safely, so I bought a Sawstop Table saw. Check out this video of how it works,

For those that haven't watched the video about the Table Saw that I purchased, you will see the gentleman that invented it put his finger directly into the saw to prove that it works.
Landscape Doctor I did see it. Never seen it before. Quite amazing.

garysss I have seen it before, it has been out a few years, amazing how it works. It still had to be hard putting your finger in there the first time and most likely every time afterwards.
